As a group of friends we booked all 3 cottages. Each one was lovely and with the connecting doors open we were able to move between each easily whilst each retaining our privacy - perfect! Loved the location as it is quiet and tranquil yet only 4 miles into Pickering and around 14 miles to Whitby. Brilliant parking fantastic pub, The Fox and Rabbit, next door and all the meals we had there were delicious. Lovely outdoor space for each cottage and perfect for star gazing at night as it was so dark! We will definitely stay at Dleepy Fox again or any of the other cottages as each was ideal.

This cottage is well situated and although near a busy road there is very little noise to note. The cottage is very comfortable and relaxing with all required furnishings.Our host was very easy to communicate with and offered a warm and pleasant welcome on arrival.There is also a good pub located nearby offering good food if you don't wish to cook.

We had a wonderful few days at the cottage, its very cosy and beautifully in decorated with everything we could want. Its in a great location to explore the local area. Adrian was very welcoming when we arrived and the lovely cake was very much appreciated 😊There's a great pub next door which is very dog friendly and I would definitely recommend 😊

We had a wonderfull time. The house is very nice and the location close the the forrest is perfect for walking and mountainbiking. Pickering is also very near and the Inn is very nice for real English food. Adrian is a perfect host. No doubt we will come back.

We enjoyed five lovely days exploring all of our favourite cycling haunts.Adrian’s property is perfectly located for Dalby Forest, Thornton le Dale, Pickering, Scarborough and Whitby.The perfect location right adjacent to the fox and rabbit pub means a hearty meal and evening drink is never far away.Adrian was extremely helpful in offering us a bike lock up when he noticed we arrived with our bikes- cannot recommend highly enough and would love to return

Second stay at this lovely cottage. It isn’t far from Dalby forest, the forest can be accessed via a footpath round the back of the pub which is a 2 minute walk away or by MTB. The cottage has a secure MTB storage which is out of site. The cottage is lovely and cool in the hot weather we have been having. I also managed to have a couple of meals in the pub too, which was delicious. Booking again soon!

We had such a lovely stay here and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location. Myself, my partner and our dog Charlie were made to feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The place was incredibly homely, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and being right in the centre meant everything we wanted to see and do was within easy reach.Having a pub right next door was an added bonus, and we definitely made good use of it during our stay!It was also really nice to meet and speak with Adrian, the owner, on our last day. He was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, including visiting Helmsley on our way back to Manchester. We took his advice and had a fantastic day out, so it was a lovely way to finish our trip.We genuinely couldn’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be telling friends and family about it. We’re already looking forward to getting back in touch and booking another stay in the future. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

Absolutely amazing cottage , Adrian takes amazing pride in being the host. Wir waren 4 Nächte hier.Zu Beginn gab es Probleme beim Check-In, weil der falsche Schlüssel in der Box lag. Nach einem Anruf bei Adrian kam dann aber zeitnah jemand, der uns reingelassen hat. Schon beim Reingehen kam uns ein unangenehmer Geruch entgegen, weshalb wir direkt gelüftet haben.Zur Begrüßung fanden wir einen gedeckten Tisch und einen kleinen Kuchen vor! Dies war eine sehr nette Geste.Gut zu Wissen:Der Eingangsbereich wird mit dem Nachbar-Cottage geteilt. Es ist ein großes Haus mit mehreren Wohneinheiten darin. Daher ist man nicht allein und ruhig gelegen, wie wir vermuteten.Tagsüber ist die Straße auch zu hören.Die Waschmaschine befindet sich in einem extra Gebäude und wird von allen Mietern genutzt.Auch war das Fox Cottage unserer Meinung nach nicht luxuriös, wie es beschrieben und beworben wird.Trotz anderer Erwartungen hatten wir einen schönen kurzen Aufenthalt!Für eine kurze Auszeit ohne viel Luxus in der Nähe der North York Moors ist es gut geeignet!
