Beautiful, peaceful family-friendly site
This is a glorious, peaceful little campsite close to the pretty village of Aberdyfi. We stayed for two nights in our motorhome on a lovely, private slate hard-stand pitch. The site itself is probably the prettiest we’ve stayed at anywhere, with beautiful planting and quirky but very chic facilities (think lots of wood, corrugated metal and bright colours). Our 17-month old loved playing on the big, open grassy area and there are pretty woodland walks around the site, and an excellent tree swing! We enjoyed a hike up through the woodland and onto the Wales Coastal Path for the walk to Aberdyfi, before catching the local bus back to the site (it’s a request stop, right outside the gates). It’s worth noting that this site slopes upward, with either steps or a slope up to the excellent amenities block, so you need to be reasonably steady on your feet. We used the beautifully appointed family bathroom and there was plenty of room for my son’s little pop-up bath and lots of space to hang clothes and towels etc. without them getting wet. My only critique would be the lack of laundry facilities - we were a week into a camping trip, so being able to do some laundry would have been helpful. Also, while there is a lovely little shop on site, it didn’t sell anything like milk or bread. While Aberdyfi has a lovely deli, it’s lacking more affordable places to buy the basics, so worth stocking up before arriving. If you’re in a motorhome or caravan all the services are available, but it’s worth noting that the grey water drain isn’t easily accessible if you have an older van like ours without a removable tank. These were small things though and overall, we can’t recommend Nyth Robin highly enough, especially for families. The couple who run the site were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a lovely, restful atmosphere.
We have just returned from Nyth Robin after staying for 5 nights in the Bluebell tent. Sadie and Grant really have thought of everything, our outdoor kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possible need. The bell tent was beautiful and very cosy - loads of extra blankets and cushions for those chilly nights.
The site is stunning, our pitch was completely secluded and surrounded by woodland, the toilets/showers are immaculate and the showers are very powerful. The communal area is lovely to chat to other guests.
We really couldn't fault anything and we'll definitely be back!

Thank you Jess! So lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Bluebell. Hope to see you again soon!
Nyth Robin is everything you can possibly want in a short break. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL surroundings, delightful and quirky glamping accommodation, with lovely clean and pretty facilities. And then there is the reason my 5 year old and I are already looking in the website for a date we can book to go back- Sadie and Grant are warm, welcoming and incredibly lovely to speak to. Happy to give you the space you want to relax, but welcoming and friendly when you see them to say hi.
Honestly, there is reason enough to go back with either the accommodation or the team behind it, but both together? It genuinely felt hard to pack the car up and leave. Not only for my 5 year old, but for me too.
I cannot recommend Nyth Robin enough. I am sad I left, and just as excited as my son to go back.

Aw thank you Helen. It was lovely to meet you both and we hope to see you again soon.
We really enjoyed it, great facilities, really interesting campsite tucked away in the hillside and woods, it had a slightly different feel to it in a really positive way, the campsite felt loved and cared for, if all campsites were like this I'd be very happy 😊
Also access up the hill to the coastal path which was worth it

Thank you Stephen - great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Sorry we didn't get to say hello, hopefully next time!
Just arrived home from a 5 day visit in our camper and we didn’t want to leave - the site is absolutely beautiful… full of wildlife and we loved our daily visit from the little robins and watching them feed their babies… the facilities are so clean and well kept…the woodlands and walking trails around the site were amazing with the added extras to enjoy… the pizza night is a must… the owners are very friendly and welcoming!!! 10 out of 10 and we will be returning to try out the glamping!! ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely Beautiful Site.
If you're looking for a beautiful woodland location in an oasis of peace and tranquility, you'll be in heaven at Nyth Robin, it's a stunner. As you enter, you pass on your left the reception / Information building which doubles as an 'honesty shop' stocked with treats and goodies! We brought our own caravan, there are only 9 touring pitches. We chose the upper terrace and were allocated "Ash" pitch (They're all named after trees). We were immediately greeted by the resident Robin who was so tame and brave! The pitch was huge and located adjacent to the beautifully clean amenities block which are unisex but all individual and private cubicles. The showers were nice and warm with perfectly adequate water pressure. The basins are more suited to handwashing only though rather than a full on strip off wash and shave! The site has several 'glamping' units, all very quirky and individual ranging from a yurt, to a charming little woodland cabin to a converted vintage Bedford horse lorry. All looked so cosy and welcoming. There is also a lovely rustic communal socialising shelter containing bench seating and a wood fired pizza oven, alas, we never got to sample the pizzas as the site was too under-occupied during our visit for it to be viable for the owners to host a pizza night, however I believe they are a regular event during the peak season. It is certainly worth a stroll around the site with its lake and picturesque elevated woodland walk which is also perfect for those with four-legged friends! The owners Sadie and Grant really are to be congratulated for all they have achieved at Nyth Robin. They haven't plastered the site with signs of rules and regulations. They seemed to be very friendly and easy going and not "in your face" but it's just reassuring they could be easily found or contacted should you need to do so. Off site, a five minute drives takes you to the pretty seaside town of Aberdovey which has a gorgeous sandy beach with a dramatic mountainous dackdrop as well as several pubs, shops and cafés. There was nothing really to fault with our holiday. (ok, it rained a lot, but it is Wales!) First class 10/10. We'll be back!

Thank you for the great review! So lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay, and the robins made you feel welcome!
We stayed in Derwen, the amazing geodome, and we absolutely loved it! it's so spacious, well thought out and cozy. On the one rainy day we were there we put on the log burner and just chilled out enjoying the view & when the sun was shining we loved the well equipped outdoor kitchen. We even had a sweet, friendly robin for company every day. Highly recommended this very special place.
We stayed in Burt the Yurt for two nights as a break from our Campervan, booked in case we had a wet week in Wales....well obviously we made the right decision 🤣 Everything was spot on, lovely clean Yurt, comfy bed, fab woodburner. We only used the outside kitchen once to make a brekkie as was an extremely windy few days, but all good and had everything we needed.
The showers & toilets were very well kept and the grounds are beautiful. Would def stay again either in our camper or one of the glamping units.
Thankyou 😀

Thank you Rob - glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to your next visit!
Peaceful, tranquil much needed mini break.
Upon arrival, we fell in love with Nyth Robin instantly.
The quietness and tranquility was very evident and very much appreciated.
We’ve never been to such a clean and organised site.
Toilet and shower blocks are impeccable.
It’s almost as though we were here on our own.
We will definitely be back to our new found haven and look forward to meeting our hosts next time ( you’d been to a wedding, so we didn’t get chance to meet)
Thank you again for such a wonderful stay.

This is simply the most beautiful place and it is our favourite campsite. The wood is lovely and is carefully tended by the owners to keep it so. We love walking along the paths to enjoy the peace and hear the birds. The facilities are immaculately clean and tidy and environmentally friendly. The site has many plants and flowers as well as a stream and a pond so it was stunning in the sunny weather that we had for our stay. The pizza night was such fun and such a great way to spend time with fellow campers. Thank you Sadie and Grant for all of your hard work and your kindness.

Thank you :)
Betty was as charming as the photos showed and a real home from home. A clean and peaceful campsite and a magical place for children and families to get back to nature. Everything was well thought through making for a relaxing break. Sadie and Grant are great hosts and we loved the pizzas! Cannot wait to go back.
