I had a wisdom tooth extracted several months ago. It seemed fine until 2 months after the surgery when I started having symptoms in my mouth on the right side. My tongue on that side hits teeth and is painful. I am barely able to speech without my tongue burning. I went to my general dentist in Staunton and he told me that my bite on the right had shifted and that I would need braces. He told me it was because of the extraction of my wisdom tooth. I was not informed before this surgery that my bite would shift. Now, because of the pain in my tongue that occurs all the time, I am left with no option but to have braces at a cost of $6,000. I am very disappointed with the care I received and certain comments that Dr. Kesecker made to me during the procedure. I went back to him for follow up to ask him why this was happening in my mouth. He said "I don't know" If my dentist knew, then he knew. A patient in Staunton, VA

I really appreciated the fact that I was able to set up a payment plan which I wasn’t able to do at another place. It was a little over $1,000 more than the other place though. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t a simple schedule an appt case but I found the front desk staff to be rude. I have had to call multiple times along with my HR dept at work and every time the staff were rude. The procedure itself was a good experience (although I ended up with a blown blood vessel for the first time ever).I have no complaints other than the fact that I wasn’t given chlorhexidine for aftercare. I’m just glad that this wasn’t a place I needed to frequent.

Do not go to Legacy Surgery. You will be surprised by made up bills while giving you a mediocre service. See my complaint with the Virginia Department of Dentistry. There are other respectable oral surgeons than Legacy.
