I truly enjoyed my time at Heritage School of Interior Design and am very grateful for this experience.
The program is thoughtfully structured, offering a great balance between practical skills and design knowledge. From learning essential design software to exploring aesthetics and design principles, the courses provided a well-rounded education. I especially appreciated the field trips, which gave us opportunities to meet local vendors, understand how the interior design industry works, and build valuable professional connections.
Although I had previously studied architecture, my experience at Heritage helped me rediscover my passion for design and gave me renewed motivation to pursue a career in this field.
The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely dedicated to helping students learn and grow. I gained so much from their guidance. What I also really appreciate is that the school's support doesn't end at graduation. Maira continues to share industry events, networking opportunities, and job openings with alumni, which is incredibly helpful for those looking to start their careers or build their own design businesses.

I had a really good experience at Heritage School of Interior Design. The classes were easy to follow, and I learned so much more than I expected going into the program. One of the things I appreciated most was getting to meet and connect with people working in the design industry. I couldn’t have made a better choice for a continued education program. Heritage School of Interior Design set me up for success in the interior design industry as I moved into a new chapter and my second career. I highly recommend HSID for anyone seeking a fast track to becoming an industry expert!
I had the opportunity to observe at HSID and was extremely impressed. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Heritage School of Interior Design so far. I just completed my second term and will be returning to finish my final term. The classes have challenged me in the best way and have helped me grow both creatively and technically as a designer. I’ve learned so much and feel more confident in my skills with every project.

I am a recent graduate of the masters certification program at Heritage and I can honestly say, without a doubt or hesitation, that going through this program changed my life. From start to finish, I knew I was embarking on a special journey that was carefully curated to make sure I was successful in this industry. The teachers are professionals who have careers in Interior Design, some with a background in Architecture, and some are even running their own firms. The pool of knowledge is vast and so inspiring to be a part of.
This was a career change for me and I was coming from being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. Being able to take the part-time track was manageable for me and my family life. That being said, it was also one of the most challenging things I have ever done, but I know that I am better designer for having gone through it all. This program pushes you to understand not only the technical skills it takes to succeed, but also to learn about the type of person you are in this industry. It reveals your strengths and the areas that need work. It drives you to be the best version of yourself under pressure and gives you real world experiences with venders, team collaborations, and meeting strict time lines.
I know I will be a success in this industry because of the foundation I received from Heritage and I am forever grateful to Rhonda Larson, all of my teachers, and my fellow classmates who were with me on my journey.

I’ve had an incredibly positive experience at the Utah Heritage School of Interior Design. I came into the program already having a college degree and work experience in another field, and for years I felt stagnant, considering pursuing interior design but not wanting (or being able) to commit to another two to four year program.
The Heritage School of Interior Design made that dream feel realistic and attainable. The Master's Certificate offers a focused curriculum that teaches exactly what you need to succeed in interior design, without requiring you to repeat general education all over again. The course structure helped me develop real, applicable skills and equipped me with the tools and resources needed to work in the field, even before graduation.
The instructors and the team of directors are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in their students’ growth. I’ve felt challenged creatively and technically, while also encouraged and supported every step of the way. There’s a strong sense of community, and it’s clear that Heritage truly cares about helping students transition confidently into the design industry.
I would highly recommend Heritage School of Interior Design to anyone looking to transition careers or deepen their design education in a way that is intentional, efficient, and supportive. For me, it's been the most affirming and rewarding career choice to date!

I am an industry veteran and I have recently started a major remodel on my career. We had the good fortune to hire a Heritage grad for our team several years ago. That team member had excellent training in a diverse range of skill sets, and has been an incredible addition. I would strongly recommend to any design firm that they give serious consideration to any Heritage grads applying to their firm.

Heritage Design School is NOT accredited. While some sources indicate it may be respected by some in the industry, it is important to note that its lack of accreditation means its programs are not recognized by accrediting bodies like the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
The only thing that the school offers, you are certificates, which are basically participation trophies. People who are actually accredited in the interior design industry would view the school as a slap in the face. The school doesn’t produce designers, it produces decorators, and it is far from the same as going to an accredited school!! anyone that finishes any of these programs should not be allowed to call themselves an interior designer.

I loved my time at Heritage. I am starting a new career, and as an Engineer, I knew I did not want to attend another 4 year program. Upon finding Heritage, I knew it would focus on the more industry specific components I would need to succeed. The school focuses on the actual work you would be doing with clients and contractors, rather than simply the science of design. This course is for those who are already tech savvy, and need the fundamental concepts to get themselves started in the hands-on world of Interior Design, rather than Interior Decorating!

I had a really positive experience at Heritage School of Interior Design and would recommend it to anyone serious about getting into the interior design field. The program helped me build a strong foundation and, more importantly, gave me real connections in the industry. What stood out most was the community—they support you during the program and continue to stay connected long after graduation. I’ve stayed involved with HSID even after starting my own business, and it’s been a great resource. While there are cheaper programs out there, investing in myself through Heritage has been 100% worth it.
