We had the best afternoon walking through Lisbon and sampling all the different food. Joana was so knowledgeable, not only about the food but also the history of the city and each area that we stopped in. I would recommend taking this tour as early as you can so you learn the tips and tricks for spotting authentic (and delicious) places to eat.
Leonor was wonderful! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food, wine & history of Lisbon/Portugal. All of the restaurants she took us to were wonderful & we tried things we never would have tried on our own...and she gave us lots of tips to help us order food & wine on our own for the rest of our stay here in Portugal. We also enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods & learning about their history. We got very lucky that it was only my husband & myself and one other person in the group, so it was very relaxed and casual...and basically like a 3.5 hour private tour. I would say this tour is best for anyone (teenager and older) who is interested in finding out more about the local cuisine & history and is able to walk & do stairs/hills. I don't drink alcohol, but it was still interesting to learn about the wine in Portugal & they had several non-alcoholic choices for me, including NA beer.
Amazing tour and experience. Best guide in Lisboa, highly recommend Frederico. Extremely entertaining, witty and fun!!!
