If you are looking for somewhere that’s magical, peaceful and surrounded by nature, away from the chaos of Moalboal or anywhere that’s jammed packed with people and pollution, this is the place to be. I had planned on staying two nights and ended up extending to four as I didn’t want to leave this sanctuary. Not only is the natural landscape and accomodation worth experiencing, but also the hospitality from warm attentive staff/owners and delicious food. I can’t rave on about the food enough. I honestly believe that Eskapo Verde is worth visiting for the food alone, especially if you are vegetarian/vegan. The selection and portion is generous and very well priced for the quality, nutrition and taste. I highly recommend the chicken adobo with coconut milk and Puso Eskapo-style (veg). I would stay here over Panagsama beach and Moalboal on any given day. It is a short ride to Panagsama for the sardines, and closer to the waterfalls and peak lookouts. If you are a plant and/or bird nerd like me, you will love it even more.

Exceptional ☺ Cozy eco centric resort spread over a large area. You are surrounded by nature and some of the breathtaking views in the country. The cottages are comfortable, clean and charming. The owners, Allan and Simon make you feel truly welcomed and at home. The restaurant is simply excellent. Fred will make some of the tastiest dishes and the view is spectacular ☹ Nothing

Exceptional ☺ I enjoyed my stay a lot! I was sorry for not staying longer. It is such a quiet and peaceful place. People are nice food is delicious. The owners were very friendly and helped with all the questions.

Exceptional ☺ Eskapo Verde is an oasis of calmness and peacefulness just 5km away from Moalboal. Perfect for everyone who enjoys being in nature and seeks for a simple lifestyle :) And the food was absolutely delicious!

Отель в манграх держат два европейца . Бунгало без кондиционера, но оно и не нужно. Мы до этого малость простыли и в бунгало нам полегчало. Кабак на берегу шикарный и недорогой. Очень вкусный кофе, которым поделился с нами хозяин отеля. Спасибо ему. По ночам в манграх кипит жизнь, но нам понравилось. И до отеля придется идти по бамбуковому мосту 100м., что придает дополнительный шарм .

I extended my stay for a while here because it was comfortable and I enjoyed the relaxing part of the location. The rest ☺ The owners are so friendly! The place is very pretty and isolated away from all the noise from the town. ☹ That there’s no hot or even warm water ever and that you can’t close curtains when you sleep.

Hi Calista, thanks for your extended stay and review. We're sorry that you found the lack of hot water in the dormitory showers such an issue. This was a design decision we made when we built Eskapo Verde as low carbon footprint, environmentally-friendly accommodation and why we don't offer air-conditioning, in-room TV's or hair-dryers! We do have hot shower in our cottages.
Regarding lack of curtains in the dorms, because we don't use air-conditioning, through ventilation is a critical part of our design concept. Individual privacy curtains and window curtains disrupt the dormitory air-flow and raise the indoor temperature. We are primarily an activity center and almost all our guests take advantage of the cooler mornings to enjoy the outdoor activities in our area.
Once again we are sorry that there were some negative aspects to your extended stay but we hope that the advantages you mentioned out-weighed the negatives :).

Hidden gem along in moalboal. A bit pricey but it was worth it as their food was delightfully scrumptious. The place also has a really good view of the cliffside and the mountains. Worth coming back to!

Thanks for your stay Courtney...we're sorry that you did not like our "cool" place more. We are indeed some distance from the bars and restaurants of the Moalboal resort area and having your own transport is convenient, however that same distance allows you to experience the natural world in a way that is impossible in more central locations - and which you enjoyed.
We are disappointed by the scores you gave for our staff and cleanliness since we try hard to exceed expectations, particularly in these areas. If you could give us examples of where we fell down in your estimation we would be grateful for the chance to improve.

Excepcional ☺ Un endroit incroyable, pour se ressourcer, excellent rapport qualité prix, l'accueil extraordinaire des 2 proprio, tout est trés appliqué, tres bon petit dej avec vue sur la mangrove c'est unique. Tres authentique, au calme !!! ☹ Il manquait juste un seche cheveux quand il fait humide c'est important.

You can only fall in love for this very special Lodge! ☺ The attention that those 2 business partners have for their guests is exceptional, booking any activities for you, making your stay very enjoyable and memorable. The facilities are pretty much new, very comfortable and nice dormatories, a jetty where you can swim from or launch some kayaks or paddles boards, 20mn from the Kawasan falls canyoneering who is unreal and 10mn from Moalboal where you swim with turtles and sardines. I've stayed 3 nights there which is a minimum for the area. Just peaceful in nature, perfect place to relax, away from the noise of the trycicles and crowd! ☹ Nothing really!

Wow a place to remember and unique, surrounded by the water and mangroves, very peaceful place with very great food and new wooden cottages and dormitories, kayak and paddle boards activities, swimming and relaxing in nature. Very Friendly owners who are always ready to help you with anything, booking tours, tips, make sure you are comfortable and happy around the lodge. A must do to discover and super good value. Just 20mn from Kawasan Falls and 10mn from the sardines and turtle spot in Moalboal.

3 jours dans un paradis sauvage, à la végétation luxuriante au bord de la mangrove. La cuisine est plus qu'excellente et Alain et Simon sont très accueillants, chaleureux et on se sent comme a la maison. Une adresse à ne pas manquer !

We spent two nights in the dorms here and had such a wonderful stay. The natural surroundings are beautiful, the food was extremely tasty, and both the owners and the rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is so much to discover on the grounds, such as kayaking, relaxing in hammocks and on the jetty, or simply walking around. The dorms and bathrooms were very clean and really bright with their own windows by the beds. I would definitely come back and can only recommend staying here to everyone. It's also really backpacker-friendly and very close to Moalboal, giving you the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation :))
