good food with lots of options and vegetarian selection but nothing revolutionary, service was a bit weird - waitress kept laughing weirdly and the service charge is incredibly steep although you can have the awkward conversation to take it off.

We visited Comptoir for lunch today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered the wraps and fries deal, which looked very appealing in the promotional image outside the restaurant. Sadly, the actual food was completely different. The wraps were extremely dry and bland, with no sauce or flavour, making the meal very unpleasant. The service was also disappointing. We waited a very long time for our food, and nobody came to check whether everything was okay or whether we needed anything. What was particularly frustrating was seeing the waiter being very attentive to the customers at the table next to us, asking them if they needed anything/if food was okay etc. It was actually nice to see that level of service being given to other customers, but unfortunately, we didn’t receive the same attention. We also ordered a kids’ meal, which included ice cream, but the ice cream was never brought to us. I tried several times to get the attention of the waiting staff, but nobody seemed to notice us, even though we were sitting at the back. In the end, my husband had to go to the counter to pay because we simply got fed up waiting. This is particularly unfortunate because I have visited Comptoir many times before and have never had an experience this poor. Sadly, after this visit, I won’t be returning. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves both the food quality and the level of service.

Went with my mum and sister and everyone there were so lovely and welcoming. The atmosphere was very warm and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Plan to come and visit again!! Thank you Adnan! Photos of the feta and pepper dip and the chicken taouk wrap platter. The drinks are the pomegranate and hibiscus elixir (the back one) and the strawberry and coconut cooler (the front). Also ordered (but not pictured) was the fries with a garlic dip and the warm olive oil bread and the strawberry lemonade. Everything tasted so delicious and fresh. 100% recommend!
