The best tours we had in Berlin!
All the reviews were so helpful and we decided to get two different tours with Birchys Berlin Tours: Historic Pubs and Beer + History and Highlights. Darren and Rhys were such an amazing guides. Both shared great historical data and narrated stories not so common to read or hear in books. The way both guide during these tours is impressive, funny and so easy-going. Is like spending an afternoon with old-good friends! Thank you, Birchys for these tours!
I’ve lived in Berlin for 6 years now but this week my parents finally visited for the first time. I took them on a Berlin History and Highlights tour with Cairan and it was the PERFECT start to their trip. Cairan is so personable, patient, and filled with so much knowledge of Berlin and Berlin’s History. We had an amazing time with him and would highly recommend Birchy’s Berlin Tours, and especially Cairan!

Darren was extremely professional and funny. Did a great job of laying out a path to some cool history about Berlin, in addition to local beer knowledge. He made it really easy for everyone in the diverse group to click and get along. Highly recommend!
We took the historical sites walking tour with Rhys. He was exceptional! Very knowledgeable, great stories with great storytelling, and just a very entertaining and engaging guy! We thoroughly enjoyed it. The walking tour ends near Museum Island. Rhys gave us a some thoughts on the various museums, and we ended up visiting a couple of them after the tour. It was a great day of sightseeing.

Our guide, Alex, came prepared with photos and maps that helped us understand the history. He was very good at telling the stories and moving at everyone's pace.

Not much info provided
The guide frequently took breaks for cigarettes. Limited information was given. We could have conducted the tour ourselves.
We loved our tour SO much! Great history, great drinks, great people. It has been a highlight of our trip!

Good beer and more
Absolutely top notch, and, yes, Darren is a perfect guide for this tour. A leisurely stroll to a selection of nice pubs (one of which has its own brewery) along with a fascinating historical commentary and insights into the social context of beer-drinking over the years. Of course there is some very good beer to be sampled (quite generously). If you like beer and want to learn some fascinating tidbits of Berlin's history along the way this is the tour for you.

Worth the time and money ! Great Tour
I took this tour with Frey who was an EXCELLENT tour guide. Frey was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed taking to him about all of the sights that were on the walking tour in addition to the history of WW II and the Cold War. I was fortunate to be the only person on this tour which made it all the more personal and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour and doing it 1st thing upon my arrival to Berlin, it served as a GREAT overview tour !
