Best of Mas set us up perfectly for a e-bike tour of Siena/Chianti. Enrico met us the morning of our ride and measured the bikes to the 4 of us and off we went. We rode on iconic Tuscan roads and backroads and viewed the sites from new perspectives. When we arrived for a splendid wine tasting we were euphoric and ready to taste and nibble. Back on the bikes and back towards Siena with beautiful views etched in our minds. All in all we rode about 18 miles. No one in our group felt unable to navigate the bikes or roads. Great time had by all. Our age range was 55 to 72. We have not stopped talking about Enrico and our fantastic experience. Ciao

Fun and memorable What a wonderful experience we had booking a bicycle tour and wine tasting. Francesca was prompt and patient in getting us booked! Are you a cyclist? No need, Enrico toured us out of the City of Siena into the wine countryside. The e-bikes were so comfortable and powerful that we did not worry about getting in the way of riders of the Strade Bianche. We loved the tour and the feel of the air, the twisty roads (and back roads) of Tuscany, and the feel of Springtime. The wine tasting was as historical as it was tasty! Call for your customized experience! You’ll love it too.

My husband and I stayed at the incredibly cozy Capanna al Lago in November, 2024. We still talk about it! The flat was adorable, with a picture perfect view of the Piazza del Campo from the Juliet balconies! The host was helpful and friendly. We would stay here again! 10/10 recommend!

Our family had an amazing time staying at Capanna di Elfo in Siena. The villa was perfect in every way and our hosts Angelica and Claudio were very attentive. Francesca and Ambra of Best of Mas were wonderful. They coordinated two exceptional wine tours, which included their driver, Luca, as our chauffeur for the day. They listened to our wine preferences and chose wineries that offered both white and red selections to accommodate our groups’ preferences. Each winery presented beautiful charcuterie boards with the tastings. They also arranged a family dinner at the villa with Chef Ricardo. He was excellent and spent time explaining his cooking techniques and showing our granddaughter how to make homemade Tagliatelle. The meal was outstanding. I highly recommend working with Best of Mas to coordinate experiences &/or transportation! They take the time to get to know you, make great suggestions, and curate a schedule that fits your group. All of our events, including city tours of both Florence & Siena, wine tastings, and cooking class with Chef Riccardo were extraordinary! We stayed at Capanna di Elfo, which was perfect for our family. The property was stunning and the house was the perfect Tuscan villa. I will be recommending this to everyone I know, and I hope to make it back for a longer stay!

Where does one begin to tell you how much we enjoyed time in Italy in cooperations with BestofMAS? Francesca and Ambra helped me to design a custom itinerary for our group of 3 recently retired couples. I asked them to not only to plan several days visiting the ‘must see’ sites, but to also show us authentic Tuscany from the out-of-the-way places and boy did they deliver! From the moment our driver Peppino picked us up in Rome until the moment he dropped us off at the Airport Hotel, everything was wonderful! There are so many highlights that it’s hard to pick just one. On our way from Rome to Sienna we were taken to the village of Bagnoregio, where we ate lunch and saw the majestic Civita di Bagnoregio. Upon our arrival in Siena at the stunning Capanna di Elfo villa, we were treated to an in-home dinner with Chef Riccardo. Oh my! Absolutely the best Ragu I have ever tasted! Every dish was fresh and tasty. And Riccardo himself was fun and entertaining and very focused on making the dinner at our villa memorable. Capanna di Elfo seems like it was perfectly designed for us. Every bedroom had an ensuite bath, the kitchen had everything you could need, the décor was authentic and homey, and the views from the property were breathtaking! On Monday, Ambra took us on a tour of Siena and explained the chaos known as the Palio. On Tuesday, Gabriel took us to Pisa and Luca. Wednesday, we had a cooking class at the Estate of Poggiarello not too far outside Siena. The castle was built in the 1250’s and was spared from the bombing in WWII due the wiles of “Cuckoo Katarina”! Thursday and Friday were in Florence visiting the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries. Michaelangelo, Raphael, da Vinci, Botticelli, Carvaggio! The sculpture of David! Francesca and Ambra are both very passionate and knowledgeable about their subject matter. On Saturday we headed toward Montalcino. As we headed there we had an ’Oh, by the way’ understatement: we took a side road and stopped at the Abbey of Sant'Antimo which dates to the early 800’s and is still an active Abbey of the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré . Francesca told us if we were lucky, we might hear the Monks chanting and signing. We were lucky and it was like being transported back to the 12th century! Then the visit to the Sesta di Sopra Vineyard outside Montalcino was icing on the cake. Finally, as we headed back to Rome on a ‘travel day’, we visited two ‘cities on a hill’, Serano and Pitigliano. Just a little stop at the most amazing architecture and wandering lanes of apartments and shops you’ve ever seen! Our experience with BestofMAS and Francesca and Ambra was top-notch. If you are looking to go to Italy on the cheap, this is probably not the team you want. But if you are looking for people who are passionate about what they do, sincere in listening to your needs, well-versed in the culture and sights of Italy, especially Tuscany, then you need to contact them. Listen to their suggestions. Don’t ask them to take you truffle hunting out of season! 😊 Do ask them to help you plan an itinerary that meets your desires. There are no ‘cookie cutter’ packages with them. There is, however, a 'home-made pasta and Ragu' package that will leave you at times speechless! You wont be disappointed…

We had an amazing week with Best of Mas! We were traveling as a family of 9 and rented one of their villas in May 2025. Francesca and Ambra were so helpful and accommodating from the moment we booked. They reached out multiple months before our trip and set up a Zoom call to introduce themselves and get a feel for our group, and they ultimately created an entire week itinerary for us. They provided transfers to and from the Florence train station, and Ambra was at the villa upon arrival to greet us with a Best of Mas personal bottle of wine. Both Ambra and Francesca provided us with private tours throughout our week while visiting the most beautiful and authentic places in Tuscany. We toured multiple wineries in Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Chianti as well as a sheep farm where the owner made pecorino cheese and brewed beer. They also took us to cities and towns along the way - Pienza, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Siena, and Florence - each with a private walking tour catered directly to our group. They also set up a welcome dinner and cooking class for us at our villa with their incredible private chef Ricardo. For our group, Francesca and Ambra were the most welcoming and conscientious hosts we could have asked for, and we had the vacation of a lifetime because of it. We tasted the best wine and food of our lives and experienced an authentic week in Tuscany. I have been recommending Best of Mas to everyone I know - they are the best!

A week in Tuscany that we will never forget! Thanks, Best of Mas team! Francesca and the Best of Mas team did an amazing job helping to plan my family’s Tuscan vacation. They coordinated our villa stay and planned several activities for our family of 9: full-day wine tour, half-day ebike tour and homemade Tuscan dinner. Best Tuscany Driver We cannot say enough about our service with Best of Mas. We used Peppino Mincelli as our driver. He was very reliable, punctual and spoke English with ease. His car was clean, neat and comfortable. Peppino was very friendly and accommodating. We always felt safe and well taken care of with Peppino.

We had such a great time in Italy. Best of Mas was the best find ever. They planned such wonderful activities - Ambra and Francesca did an amazing job planning events that we absolutely loved! Ambra is a tour guide extraordinaire and the Best of Mas drivers (Peppino and Gabrielle) were always on time, courteous & super friendly. Our four day tour included visiting San Gimignano, Sienna, Pienza and a few other spectacular smaller villages. We visited two great wineries and a sheep farm where they make their own Pecorino cheese and brew craft beer. We toured and ate lunch at all three venues. Ricardo, the Best of Mas chef, prepared five star meals for us two nights at our villa! The icing on the cake was our last day, spent riding horses, touring a few villages and experiencing a cooking class at an ancient castle/winery outside of Siena. Sveva, the owner and host, was delightful. The food she had us prepare was delicious and their wines were outstanding. Overall, Best of Mas made our time in the Siena area worry free and unbelievably enjoyable. We can't wait to return to Tuscany and utilize their services again!
