Perfect family adventure
Kostas, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable of the area and local history, genuinely friendly and accommodating. He thoroughly explained the proper paddling techniques which made the tour all the more enjoyable. Stopping to snorkel and paddling in the caves made for great memories. Kostas went beyond the booking by offering us a list of additional recommendations of places to visit. And he is a great photographer! Highly recommended!

Fabulous Experience!
We had a fantastic experience on the Kardamyli sea kayak tour. Giorgos and Costas explained how to paddle and control the kayak and it was wonderful being out at sea. We went into 2 sea caves, which was a terrific experience. We were able to swim in one with unique blue water caused by refracted light. Giorgos and Costas shared many stories and history of the area and created a very friendly atmosphere for the group. Lunch on the beach was quite good. Thank you Giorgos and Costas!

Had such a brilliant time sea kayaking with Explore Messinia. George and Kostas were brilliant guides, and incredibly knowledgable about the area and its history, making for a very interesting kayak! They were both super friendly, and there to answer any question. My personal highlight was the sea cave which we got to explore and swim in. It was very beautiful and one of the best parts of our trip to Messinia. They put on a lovely lunch in a short break in the middle of the trip, and took great photos of the group. Would definelty recommend!

Amazing kayak adventure
George our guide gave us an amazing day kayaking from Kardomyli. He gave us a comprehensive briefing, showed us how to use the modern kayaks with foot operated rudders and took us to some great places along the coast including an amazing ‘blue’ cave. His knowledge of the area, including the history was very interesting and he made the whole day fun. We swam and had a great picnic - thank you George!

Fun and interesting bike ride to discover Kalamata and surroundings
What a fun and interesting way to discover Kalamata and surrounding olive fields! Guides Fotios and Claire looked so well after our group and made everyone feel at ease with the bikes before heading off. Even the grey skies and a little bit of rain couldn't spoil this experience. Nice combination of explanation and exploring, including a pic nic.

Great way to explore the region
My husband and I have traveled quite a bit over the years, and this tour easily ranks among our favorite experiences anywhere. From the moment we met Fotios and Philippos at Divari Beach, the tone was set — warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing this beautiful region with us. The ride began gently along the lagoon, with herons quietly watching from the shoreline as we passed, before curving around the stunning arc of Voidokilia Beach. The climb to Prophet Elias was absolutely worth it, revealing breathtaking views of the entire bay spread out below. Along the way, we stopped at an ancient “mother” olive tree, wandered into the cool, lush setting of Kalamaris Waterfall, and finished with a picnic at Sgrapa overlooking scenery so beautiful we wished we could stay all afternoon. The timing of the tour felt just right — long enough to feel like a true adventure, but paced perfectly so we ended the day energized instead of exhausted. The e-bikes were excellent quality, and the pedal assist was exceptionally well balanced. It gave just enough help on the climbs to keep things fun while still letting you feel engaged and active the whole time. Neither my husband nor I are serious cyclists, yet there was never a moment where we felt overwhelmed or out of our comfort zone. We felt supported, encouraged, and very well cared for from start to finish.

Thank you both. Routing past the mother olive tree is deliberate — once you've stood under that canopy, the rest of the day reads differently. Sgrapa tends to have the same effect on the picnic stop; most people would have stayed if we'd let them. If you're back in Messinia, the autumn version of this route is a different ride — let us know.— Fotis (Philippos says hi)
