I've attended two classes at SharpenTO now and they were both fabulous. The instructors are professionals in their field and have so many tips and tricks to pass along. The space is gorgeous with three separate areas depending on what class you are taking, washrooms onsite and they provide water and in the mornings coffee and tea. Everything you need is there for your workshop you literally bring nothing and leave with your project. Will 100% be signing up for more classes.

Zoe (instructor) is warm, wonderful and so talented! She even answered my random “off-content” hands-on questions with grace. The reno workshops are totally approachable for anyone, regardless of experience. I’d been looking for a place like Sharpen for a while and am so glad I found it. Such a great concept and a great resource to have in Toronto. Highly recommend!

Did my first class on how to anchor anything to a wall. I'm not a very handy person and this was incredibly practical and useful. It gave me a lot of confidence to start doing more of the handywork I need to do at home. The teacher was fantastic. It was a lot of fun

I had such a great experience at Sharpen’s Accent Furniture Making class! Andrew was a fantastic instructor: welcoming, patient, and great at explaining each step without making the process feel overwhelming. I especially appreciated all the little tips Andrew shared beyond the project itself, including where to buy materials and tools and how to continue exploring woodworking on your own. The whole space felt welcoming, inclusive, and genuinely happy. From start to end, all steps were planned well and there was no waiting for tools or instruction (I was lucky to be in a class of two). I appreciate the prep Andrew did to ensure there is no lag or confusion. The workshop space is neat, does not feel cluttered, and has a relaxed vibe. They have equipment and safety gear (mask, apron, gloves, etc. ) so I could just walk in without any prep. The 3.5 hours flew by, and there’s something incredibly satisfying about walking out with a finished piece that you made! A big thank you to Andrew for making my introduction to classes at Sharpen such a positive one. I can’t wait to come back and explore more classes!

Zoe is an incredible instructor - experienced, patient and funny. Her class (anchor anything to wall) was informative, well structured and gave hands on practice to make mistakes (and learn) in a safe environment. This was my first Sharpen experience but definitely not the last.

I had the best experience here. I did a stained glass workshop with Megan, who was helpful and friendly and fun, and I love the piece I made. This was a great opportunity to try a new craft without the huge investment of a full course or equipment of my own. The space is big and airy and clean. I would absolutely recommend this spot.

I highly recommend this experience to anyone, any age, any skill level. Very nice classroom with small "kitchen", sink and fridge, washrooms. Lots of light from large windows all around studio. Easy transport... right on Queen bus route. Can't wait to return!
