Amazing Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini Family Tour!
We had a wonderful family trip to Nepal with Global Nepal Treks. Everything was well organized, and our Nepal tour guide made the whole journey easy, comfortable, and enjoyable. We visited Devi's Fall and Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Lumbini (the birthplace of Buddha), and the Narayanhiti Palace Museum in Kathmandu. Every place was beautiful in its own way. Great first time in Nepal, hope to visit again!!
I recently took my first trip to Nepal for an internship and volunteering program, and found Global Nepal Treks through another member of my internship organization who had travelled to Nepal before. My guide, and now dear friend, Saroj was the one to welcomed me to Nepal, to help me learn about Nepali culture, and also taught me the Nepali language so I could connect with people during my trip, and also facilitate my communication for my internship. Little did I know that Saroj would go above and beyond to make my first visit in Nepal unforgettable. During our Annapurna Base Camp trekking, Saroj put all my worries to rest, arranged lodging, transportation, and trekking plans in an efficient and flexible way. I always felt at ease, and greatly enjoyed my first ever trekking experience. I also did the Safari experience in Sauraha where I was able to see some of the natural forestry of Chitwan National Park. Saroj is the type of person who welcomes you like family, puts you at ease when you feel stress, makes himself available when you need, and is someone you can trust. He is a friend who will always make me feel connected to Nepal, and who I hope to visit with my family and friends in the future. You will never want to leave Nepal
Had the privilege to visit Kathmandu during the first weeks of September, my very first time in Asia. I was amazed by how lively and vibrant the city is, teeming with ancient culture and authenticity at every turn. And what better way to explore than alongside Saroj, who made sure I truly experienced and appreciated the local customs and traditions—from dining at a typical Newari restaurant, to riding a microbus, to rolling prayer wheels with the locals. One of the highlights was the renowned Indra Jatra festival, which I had the chance to experience up close in Durbar Square (Basantapur), sharing the excitement with Saroj and his adorable twins. We also ventured into Lalitpur (Patan), where Saroj guided me through its peaceful temples, hidden courtyards, and quiet gardens, a beautiful contrast to the city’s buzz. Of course, a truly unforgettable moment was standing above the Kathmandu Valley at Swayambhu (the Monkey Temple), soaking in the vastness and serenity.
