The Most Incredible Karnali Experience — Safe, Thrilling & Unforgettable I came back from the Karnali expedition, and I can honestly say it was the best experience of my life. Rafting with this team was incredible — the perfect balance of thrilling rapids and pure fun. Even in the most intense moments, the guides made sure we were completely safe. Their skill, confidence, and calm presence allowed us to enjoy the adventure without a single worry.What surprised me most was how present and at peace I felt — my phone was dead for the entire 10 days, and I didn’t even miss it. The laughter, stories, songs, and beautiful moments with the team were more than enough.The food was delicious every single day, and after long hours of work, the crew still had the energy to sing, make jokes, and bring so much joy to the camp. Their warmth made me feel truly comfortable and at home, even in the middle of the wilderness.This team is hardworking, caring, genuine, and full of heart. Taste of Nepal - Culture, Tradition, Nepali people, Food, Trek, Mountains, Rivers, Wildlife, and many more I recently visited Nepal with a family friend with two children, and I would like to share my experience. The trip was organised as part of the 'Taste of Nepal' package, facilitated by Himalayan Outdoor Project (HOP). It included a well-planned itinerary covering the main attractions of the Kathmandu Valley, followed by a trip to Pokhara to explore Nepal's adventure capital. We enjoyed a brief but breathtaking trek to Dhampus and Australian Camp, where we were able to see the fascinating mountain range, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Fishtail, and Manaslu. On the way back, we stopped at the paragliding takeoff point and the Sarangkot viewpoint. Our journey also included visits to the World Peace Pagoda and an overnight stay at the Fish Tail Lodge, considered one of the best hotels in Pokhara. Later, we travelled by road to Chitwan and stayed in Sauraha. A private jeep tour through Chitwan National Park allowed us to see elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, tigers, deer, and numerous birds—an unforgettable wildlife experience. HOP was an excellent tour operator, offering professional staff, practical guidance and suggestions at competitive rates. Their first-rate service made the trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend HOP for anyone planning travel in Nepal.

UNIQUE COMPANY AND EXPERIENCE A 100 out of 100, there’s not a single thing to reproach from the experience, let alone the amazing HOP team. In my case I joined the Karnali River expedition, mainly I was on the raft but I was given the opportunity to get on the kayak 3-4 days and that was amazing. In total it was 10 days that remain marked in my memory forever. There are many ways to carry out an expedition and the way HOP does it makes the experience exceptional.Many times it is not the place but the people, they do 100% of both! Excellent treatment before, during and after, flexibility, adaptability even being in the middle of nowhere and a very professional and human team. I joined HOP on the Karnali River expedition. Professional excellent guides and service. Smooth running of the trip. Daily briefing and check in's were clear and inclusive. Food was clean, tasty and had a range of variety. Quality gear. High safety kayaker to kayaker ratio, efficient rescues. I felt I could push my limit on the river because of trust in the guides and encouragement I had. I definitely would not be able to have such unforgettable experience or kayak the Karnali without them! Thank you! However, the communication on dates and logistics could be improved before the trip (trip dates, best bus routes, bus timings and etc).

Just finished a month long paddling trip in Nepal all organized by Rajiv himself! Absolutely fantastic service, from the early preparation talks and informations to the on the clock response, help and organization with changes in logistics, Rajiv is your man for any logistics you need help with in Nepal. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs and planned everything accordingly, even sending one of his guy on a 14 hours truck bed ride to make sure we wouldn’t have issues with local authorities. Absolutely worth it, I will come back to Nepal and use his services again without a second thoughts. Highly recommend!

A real Nepal river expedition, fun and excitement all the way. One week trekking in Himalaya foothills followed by a seven day rafting safari down the Karnali River in west Nepal, in March its grade 2-4 all the way 178km . Myself and my three daughters (64 years and 19-25 years) . We met the owners /operators in Iceland on a rafting trip in 2022 so this is a repeat trip with them in their home country. Service and expertise is exceptional. They set up camp along the river every night, as well as rafting taught us all how to kayak grade 3. Three course dinners, breakfast and lunch on the river bank. The trekking was six days stopping at tea houses, to 5200m altitude north of Pokhara. We are planning the next trip already.
