I’ve been seeing Dr. Shin for over six months, and my experience has been excellent. His office runs smoothly, and the staff are consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Dr. Shin is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to clearly explain all available treatment options. I’ve always felt informed and never pressured. He presents choices ranging from conservative treatments like cortisone to surgical options and respects my comfort level. He is also very punctual, and I’ve never had to wait long for an appointment. I will be going with Dr. Shin to perform my Hip Replacement..
I went to an appointment with Dr. Shin. Check in was seamless with minimal waiting time. Dr. Shin was super helpful and gave me excellent advice. He is highly experienced and knows how to break down concepts to ensure patients understand the options. I would definitely go back in the future if needed!
I visited Dr Shin’s Burlingame practice after twisting my knee. I had acute pain for a number of weeks. Dr Shin took the time to discuss the xrays and explain all the options available to treat my injury. I never felt rushed and knew I was in good hands. I opted for PRP treatment, which I received during a second appointment. All the office staff were very friendly and made both visits a very easy and comfortable experience. I am so happy that I found Dr Shin’s practice and I will recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon.
When is the last time you have had the privilege of working with a team that consistently makes challenging situations seamless?
Dr. Shin, Hanna & every single person across two locations that I’ve had the good fortune of interacting with has provided me with competent & compassionate care.
My athletic pursuits feel within reach thanks to Dr. Shin!
Forever Grateful,
Angie
Dr. Shin is wonderful. He is smart informative kind and caring. I have known him for a long time.
I have two bad knees. I have opted at this time for no surgery for personal reasons.
I got some cortisone injections. My knees are bone on bone.
He explained possible outcomes and let me know I have other options for my knee pain.
He doesn't kick you to the curb if the care is a challenge. He let's you know he cares about your pain.
His staff is equally as wonderful. It is a joy going to his office.
Can't say I was thrilled. At first he seemed fine: attentive and friendly. But things changed when the procedure he did on me didn't work. I had a partial tear in my hamstring tendon, and he performed a PRP on it. But after a month of still having pain, he said it was clear that the PRP hadn't worked. That in itself wasn't the problem; it's what happened after.
I wrote him a (very nice) letter explaining why I didn't feel he had paid enough attention to certain things (an MRI of my spine, for example), but I never heard a word from him. (Though he he did call me after this review was posted...two months later.) Also, it felt like it was pulling teeth to get the office to refer me to a spine doctor. It was like I was just cut loose. So...I'd say the treatment might have been appropriate, but the follow-up was sorely lacking.
