Really good experience from the private chef who did a really good job and the man who transported our things on the trip and last but not least the best guide I have ever had. Roro. A person full of joy, humor, and an ability to create the best atmosphere for the trip
Conde is the best
Challenging but worth it. We had a great team esteven our chef was incredible 3 meals a day. Willbert handled our luggage with care and Roro the legend was an excellent guide couldnt ask for a better experience.
The Salkantay adventure was the best of the best!
I'm not going to beat around the bush: since the beginning of my trip to Peru, I have never eaten as well as I did during those days of hiking in the middle of the mountains. It was simply exceptional. The pickup directly at the hotel at the start is nice. But then the return... After miles of walking, being dropped off in front of your door without having to think about it is absolute bliss. Royal service after the effort! Each night, the accommodation changes and each one has its own little extra something. The locations are very well chosen; it's typical, original, and it gives a real charm to the adventure. "Roro The Legend 👑" A huge thank you to our guide, Roro the legend! Thanks to him (and his contagious good mood), the whole trip took place in good spirits, with laughter and total fun. You feel super well accompanied from beginning to end. Between the extraordinary, breathtaking landscapes and all the beautiful encounters made along the way, it is a completely crazy experience. In short, a hilarious, beautifully organized, and unforgettable adventure. I recommend it a thousand times!
Wonderful trek
Our trek with Salkantay Trekking was a great experience. It was well organized, the food and accommodations exceeded our expectations, and our guide (Julio Cesar Choque) was so helpful, knowledgeable, and fun. It was obvious he’s not only experienced, but enjoys being a guide.
Great tour with Jhimmy!!
My friends and I booked a 4 day tour that included biking, hiking, rafting, and zip lining, hot springs, etc. It ended up just being our group (3 people!) We had a great time with our guide Jhimmy, who along with being our hiking leader, also taught us about plants, fruits, coffee, Incan culture, and Peruvian culture. The tour was relatively well organized, with transportation and tickets all set up prior. Even with changes (a late train), Jhimmy still made sure we had a ride back to our hotel. Jhimmy was knowledgeable and easy to chat to (both in Spanish and English) and helpful! There was occasional noise outside the hotels that the tour group could not control (obviously) and cicadas that are VERY loud so bring earplugs. Overall, the tour was well worth the price and met my expectations! Thanks Jhimmy, nos vemos!

My son and I had a really great time hiking the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu.
Our guide, José Antonio, and his friendly cook Esteban, took excellent care of us:
- The food was delicious and more than enough;
- The accommodation was basic but always very clean and comfortable; and
- Our hiking was well planned and executed, with day two and day four relatively hard depending on your fitness.
José is a proud Peruvian and shared many insights on everything from plants and animals to history and geology. He briefed us properly on what to expect throughout the trip and went out of his way to make sure we had a superb time with his friendly energetic and humble style. He assisted us expertly to maximize our time in Machu Picchu (a tip: book early visit slots if you can to avoid most of the crowd).
Conde Travel communicated very well and it was easy to ask for advice and manage our trip with the very professional Ruth Cusihuaman.

I first heard about Jimmy through a colleague at work. He gave me the contact information of several guides in Peru and specifically recommended Jimmy. As it turned out, Jimmy was also the only one who actually responded to my message! My colleague described him as professional, kind, and, above all, considerate and I can honestly say that everything I heard about Jimmy was absolutely true. Jimmy is a wonderful person, highly capable, well-connected, and extremely knowledgeable. He knows his work inside and out and managed to take care of so many things that I would never have known how to handle on my own. I truly enjoyed his company and, most importantly, felt completely safe and confident in his hands. I recommend Jimmy very highly to anyone who is considering hiring a guide in Peru. Don’t think twice Jimmy is the ultimate guide you could ask for!
Great Tour Guides - Not a Great Company
I loved the itinerary on our July 21-30, 2026 private tour for a group of seven. The destinations were incredible, and the local guides were outstanding. They deserve five stars. Unfortunately, the tour company itself does not. If I could separate the itinerary and guides from the company, I would. The company would receive zero stars for communication, customer service, and accountability. Problems started before we even left home. Our original contact had apparently left the company, but no one told us. We continued reaching out with questions and received no response. Then, as we were heading to the airport, we finally learned he no longer worked there and were informed of strict luggage restrictions on our domestic flights, resulting in unnecessary last-minute repacking. When we arrived in Lima at 5:00 a.m., one of our rooms was ready, but despite the company's relationship with the hotel and knowing our arrival time, we were not allowed access until 10:00 a.m. after an overnight international flight. The hotel near Machu Picchu was the most disappointing accommodation of the trip. The room was not clean, had no air conditioning, and required us to keep the windows open at night for ventilation. Street noise and insects made it difficult to sleep. There were also several logistical failures. On our transfer from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, we left our hotel at 6:00 a.m. without breakfast-to-go boxes, which had been provided on other early departures. Upon arrival to Puerto Maldonado, we were told our guide would meet us at noon, but the lodge would not release our boxed lunches early. As a result, we had to purchase breakfast while waiting. We ultimately did not depart until 1:30 p.m. The company told us this was always the schedule, but our guide later explained the delay was caused by a late flight carrying other guests joining the group. Once again, the information we received was dishonest. We enjoyed our stay in the Amazon near Puerto Maldonado, and the guides and excursions were excellent. However, important information about the lodge was never communicated. Travelers should know there is no air conditioning, no electrical outlets in the rooms, and lights are only available during certain hours. The lodge does offer Starlink internet and charging stations in common areas, but this should be disclosed in advance so guests know what to expect. The most frustrating issue occurred on our return trip. Instead of booking a direct flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima, the company booked us through Cusco and specifically told us we would remain on the same aircraft. That information was incorrect. We were required to deplane, recheck in, and obtain new boarding passes, causing us to miss our flight. We ultimately had to rebook the flights ourselves, resulting in further delays on our final day. This seemed to be part of a larger pattern of prioritizing cost over traveler experience. Several flights involved very early departures, long layovers, or unnecessary connections when more convenient options appeared to be available. While cost is always a consideration, when booking a premium private tour, we expected better flight arrangements and greater transparency. When we finally arrived in Lima, our usual driver was not there because, as he later confirmed, the company never contacted him. Instead, we were split between two taxi vans. One was dirty, and the driver repeatedly looked at a GPS device while driving to the point that several passengers felt unsafe. What disappointed me most was not that mistakes happened. Travel is unpredictable. It was the lack of communication, inaccurate information, and lack of accountability afterward. I requested reasonable compensation for the numerous service failures and never received a response. Radio silence. I rarely write negative reviews, but future travelers should know that while the itinerary and local guides were excellent, the company managing the experience fell far short of expectations. They need to improve their communication, honesty, and customer service.

2 weeks amazing family vacation in Peru
We wanted an unforgettable family vacation due to our daughter’s 15th birthday. Since day 1, Flor was a great resource answering our questions and taking into consideration our preferences. The trip was planned in a very strategic way which allowed us to see many of Peru’s offerings (Lima, Ica, Paracas, Cusco, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Puno, the Uro Islands, and some other attractions in between!) and at the same time allowed for us to get used to the altitude difference, minimizing the discomfort in higher places. All the tour guides and drivers were very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Not having to be tied to a strict schedule and being able to go on our own pace was great! Nuestro viaje con Jhimmy fue una experiencia increíble. Viajé junto a mi mamá y disfrutamos muchísimo cada una de las actividades.
