Fab trip out on the catamaran. We’re a family of five and we all enjoyed it, it was well organised, friendly staff, plenty of space, nice drinks, really relaxing. We loved snorkelling and my son had the time of his life fishing in the way back!! Definitely worth it !!

Ich konnte auch andere Katamaran Touren mit anderen Firmen machen aber keine hat mir so gefallen wie mit Catamaran Makaira❤️ Man fühlt sich sofort aufgenommen, es ist niemals langweilig und man hat immer was zu lachen. Ich habe nichts worüber ich mich beschweren könnte, jeder ist super lieb und hilfsbereit. Ich würde mit niemand anderem fahren. ❤️

Ce fut une belle expérience avec Catamaran Makaira - Sal Island. Le capitaine Roza et son équipage sont tellement accueillants, joviaux, et expérimentés pour les sorties en mer😇! J’ai hâte de revivre cette belle expérience…La natation 🏊, la pêche, les boissons, les snacks…Merci à toute cette magnifique équipe 😇🥳🤩! Je recommande vivement Catamaran Makaira pour les sorties et balade en mer 🌊 à Sal Island (Cap Vert - Cabo Verde).

Book another boat This was one of the worst boat trips I’ve experienced, especially considering the high price. The beer was served warm, drinks service was inattentive, and we had to repeatedly ask for refreshments. The snacks they don’t tell you what items were, didn’t eat a thing! The crew appeared more focused on each other and making TikToks than on looking after guests. It was as like they were on a nice romantic boat trip together and the people who paid for the trip were in the way!! There was also very little information about the area or the trip that you were expect from a guided tour. One of the child’s request to go fishing was ignored until we spoke directly to the captain. The captain was helpful and promptly resolved the fishing issue, but overall the service was disappointing and the trip offered very poor value for money! My advice is to choose another boat!

Worst boat trip Very Disappointing Boat Trip Staff Service The staff were extremely poor and seemed far more interested in chatting and enjoying themselves than looking after the passengers. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks, and there was no guide available to offer help or information. Food and Drinks The food was very poor, and the drinks that were served were warm. There were also flies everywhere, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Comfort There was nowhere comfortable to sit or relax on the boat, making the trip difficult to enjoy. Fishing Incident The experience with my son was particularly disappointing. He wanted to go fishing towards the end of the trip, but we were told there was no time and that he should have asked earlier. My son quite rightly replied, “I did ask!” This added to our frustration. Overall Recommendation Overall, the trip felt poorly organised, with very little attention given to the customers. Sadly, we would not recommend this boat trip and would strongly advise others to choose a different company.

A great tour on the catamaran - great company! We had a fab half day tour in the catamaran. We were collected from our hotel, great communication beforehand, we were in good hands, very thorough welcome and crew were fab. We were served drinks, snacks and had a snorkel up by the lion mountain. Was great with kids! To top it all off, my son really wanted to fish, so went to ask and he ended up reeling in a massive Mahi Mahi, his biggest fish ever- he felt like a celebrity!! Thanks for an awesome trip!

Boat trip Good trip. I have done this kind of trip lots of time and unfortunately the staff were not attentive. Normally they come around talking to the customer asking where you are from etc.

Not horrible but not worth the money. Nearly an hour late to the pick up, but apologetic. The catamaran was ok but limited space to relax or get shade. The drinks were very lack lustre and only 1 person there making them. The snacks were awful deep fried breaded chicken and similar. There was very annoying loud music playing the whole trip that we couldn't escape and there was no 'guide' telling us anything about the scenery and landmarks. Not worth the money. The staff were all friendly and sweet, but that doesn't make up for the cost for a very average trip.

Disappointed in difficulty of cancelling and refund Unfortunately we had to cancel 48 hours in advance due to suffering a knee injury. The tour looked amazing, but unfortunately, we had difficulty canceling via both trip advisor and Viator who took the payment and so had to contact Makaira directly. Viator didn’t even show my booking. Makaira have advised they are issuing a refund but we are still waiting for our refund to show in our account. I paid in advance as opposed to the day before, I would advise waiting till the day before so if you find yourself in a position like us and needing to cancel you can without then waiting for a refund. Cancellation requires 24 hours notice.

We’re very sorry to hear about your knee injury and sincerely hope you’re recovering well.We’re also sorry that you experienced difficulties cancelling your booking through Viator. Unfortunately, we have no control over Viator’s booking system or the time banks and payment providers need to process refunds once they have been issued.We would, however, not recommend waiting until the day before to book. Our catamaran has a maximum capacity of 25 guests, and our tours are often fully booked well in advance. Booking early is the best way to secure your place.We must also admit that we do not fully understand the 3-star rating, as unfortunately you were unable to join the tour due to your injury. Your review mainly reflects the booking and cancellation process through a third-party platform rather than the experience on board with us.We wish you a speedy recovery.

Typical catamaran trip which felt a little unorganised. Trip was booked for a 10am collection but they arrived at 8.45am. Kindly they let me grab breakfast and came back after 10 mins. Collection from the other hotels took a while with more confusion with 1 couple. Arrived at the fishing port for the small boat transfer to the catamaran. Again, felt a little chaotic as we were in the middle of the fishermen gutting fish. Once on the boat which was full but not over packed, the journey out took around 50 mins, we had another 50 mins docked at the big rock to swim or snorkle. No kayaks or sups to use which would have been nice. Snacks were basic but ok, great coconut donut and drinks were included but I was only offered 1 drink. Journey back to port was rough but fun, once arrived and back on dry land there was a 30 min wait for the bus to collect us and we were left sat in the midday sun. Staff did check in on people and overall it was ok, just lots of things that could have been better.

Très bonne expérience. L’équipe est au top, souriante. Vous passerez un super moment, avec snacks, de la bonne musique (notamment du djembe) et boissons illimitées à bord. Je recommande à 100% (l’après-midi vous aurez probablement l’occasion de voir pleins de locaux sur la place à côté du port)

Die Tour mit dem Katamaran war einfach super! Eine tolle Crew aus Einheimischen,das macht es so authentisch,so besonders!!Wir fühlten uns zudem sehr sicher und der Service war prima! Eine ganz tolle Tour mit schöner Musik und vielen besonderen Momenten. Die Badestelle zum Tauchen war ebenso ein tolles Erlebnis. Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder!
