We PCS'd to Ramstein this summer and started looking for temporary lodging in the KMC area while we waited for base housing. We searched everywhere around Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, and Landstuhl, and needed something close to LRMC as well, and honestly most places either had nothing available or never got back to us.
TLA Office was completely different. We reached out and got a fast, detailed response the same day. Andrew was incredibly helpful from the very first message. He walked us through the entire PCS process, explained exactly how the TLA paperwork and receipts work, and made the whole thing so much less stressful for our family. When you are new to Germany and juggling in-processing, finance, and a house full of boxes, having someone who actually knows the military side of things is worth its weight in gold.
The furnished apartment itself was spotless and fully equipped. And when I say fully equipped, I mean everything: real dishes, cookware, coffee machine, washer and dryer, fast WiFi, towels, bed linens, the works. We basically just showed up with our suitcases and could live normally from day one. It was also a short, easy drive to Ramstein Air Base and Landstuhl, which made appointments and in-processing simple.
On top of that, they are pet-friendly, which was a huge relief because so many temporary places will not take animals. Our dog was welcome from the start, no drama.
Whether you are coming on TLA, TDY, or a full PCS move, I cannot recommend TLA Office enough. Fast communication, genuinely helpful people, a beautiful fully furnished apartment near Ramstein and Landstuhl, and zero headaches with the TLA claim. If you are moving to the KMC, book with them and thank yourself later.
