My 8 year-old and her friend did the "Playdate" package yesterday, 7/5 and had a fantastic time! Their instructor, Daphne, was knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. They left absolutely thrilled and feeling themselves in their new Kimono tops and matching scrunchies. We look forward to our next class!

Couldn’t recommend this more highly! I had a private lesson with Daphne and loved every minute. She was such a great instructor and helped me go from knowing absolutely nothing about sewing, to learning how to load and use the machine, practice different stitches and techniques, and making my own tote bag! I immediately booked a second lesson!

My daughter was reapplying to colleges and worked privately with Emma on some sewing projects for her portfolio. Emma is so professional , patient as well as kind. The assistant and receptionist are so sweet and helpful. She attended The Westside location and what an adorable well organized place. Although I heard the Upper east side is fantastic as well ! Highly recommend😊

I’ve now taken my second adult private sewing machine lesson at the UWS location (Broadway and W88th) with the amazingly talented, creative, and patient Cecilia and will keep coming back to learn more every week as long as I can! I can’t say enough about the level of attention and care…in just two lessons I *made* this cropped kimono-style top out of one yard of fabric with Cecilia’s guidance and went from absolute beginner to feeling more comfortable with the sewing machine! Also the store is LOVELY and relaxing and bright and cheerful and enjoying complimentary coffee and great music while working on creative fashion projects with an awesome teacher is my idea of heaven! If you are thinking about it…book one! I started with making a tote bag, which was great. This is such a great creative outlet especially when we get too caught up in the busyness of life to make time to pursue new creative skills. And the space for kids is also amazing: my daughters will love coming here too!

Amazing private lesson - I took a one-on-one lesson to learn how to use a sewing machine (I’d never even touched one before), and I’m so glad I did. The instructor was thorough, patient, and kind, and I now can confidently do basic stitching on a sewing machine. The lesson was an incredible deal for how much I learned. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to kick off their sewing hobby!

After nearly 6 months of strict social distancing and outside contact, my 6.5 year old daughter was thrilled that she was going to do 'something' before the summer disappeared. I couldn't have picked a better COVID-SAFE activity in a big studio with sewing machines and maximum of six children spread apart for a week. They adhered to every safety precaution and the teacher was beyond responsible and caring. Although, as much as it gave me comfort to see the studio sterile with only 5-6 children, it reminded me of just how many local businesses, that would otherwise be filled with summer campers, have suffered due to the lock down. When I sent my daughter back in February for a day and a half of winter camp, the studio was at capacity with the level of energy you'd find at a place where kids are excited at drop off and eager to come back the following day. My daughter got so much out of it. Yes there is sewing, but there's also drawing, designing, learning, listening, critical/spacial thinking, cutting, draping, and imaginative playing and creating. They have games in-between and do challenges with colors and fabric and themes. The kids really have a blast and the teacher is absolutely engaging. Thank you for going above and beyond with your dedication to reopening.

Awesome line up of fashion classes & love the summer camps. We have tried several online this summer and this by far the best as per my daughter. The cost of the camp was very reasonable & the teacher kept the kids quite engaged.

we had been thinking of exploring this option for my 7.5 year old fashionista child for a while. when the pandemic hit, we weren't sure what would be possible, but The Fashion Class opened up for a few weeks of small groups and my daughter has fallen in love already! She has learned so much about outfits, sewing, style and informed me after the first day I needed to buy her a sewing machine and fabric for her to work on things at home. I am amazed at her sewing skills already and loved that they used the first day to make masks (with pleats!) we are hooked!
