After several appointments, she made sure every single element was absolutely perfect — and the end result was a dress that fit like a dream.
She has such a calming presence, makes you feel completely at ease, and is the most wonderful hype woman when you’re in the dress — which makes the whole experience even more special. I felt so looked after throughout the entire process.

Gemma actually helped me choose my wedding dress at City Brides and was so kind and professional with this. She then altered my dress for me. The process was so smooth and unstressful. She was so knowledgeable and gave really helpful advise on how to alter my dress perfectly!
She also handmade me a beautiful pearl veil to the perfect size and sourced some matching veil weights.

I’ve had the most incredible experience working with Gemma. I arrived with my mother-in-laws 1980s cotton broderie dress and no clue. We have created a totally individual design, amending and changing design ideas throughout. Her knowledge and skills are second to none. The outcome was essentially a couture level construction, which fitted perfectly. Norfolk is lucky to have such a talent, and I would recommend to travel any distance to access such a special lady.
Gemma is incredible! My dress needed taking in and quite a few tweaks along the way. Gemma made me feel so comfortable and transformed my dress into something that was truly me. The way Gemma works put me at ease and honestly made me feel so confident in my dress.

I highly recommend going to Gemma for your dress alterations! She done an amazing job, my dress fit me perfectly! I was on a very tight timescale and only had 3 weeks to get my dress altered, Gemma managed to squeeze me in and altered more than I thought she’d have the time to do! Not only is she an amazing seamstress, she is just such a lovely genuine person! I felt so comfortable with her and she was so accommodating.
I will touch briefly on the absolute magic you create with simply with your eyesight, dedication and a machine as for me, something else happened.
The craftsmanship was spectacular. The service was always with a smile and your studio felt like a home away from home. Your knowledge and skill is undeniable.
However, I want to take a moment to comment of your level of care. Not for dress. Not for business. Not for money. Simply your human response to care for me. You see readers, I got sick. Very sick in the 2 weeks up to my long planned wedding and Gemma popped up on my phone countless times. Concerned and motherly. For my final fit, I was medicated and unable to really stand. You made sure I was okay and worked with my mum to do final touches. I returned to bed and trusted the dress would be perfect on the day. It was. The dress was beautiful. I was healthy and the day l was magic.

It was very clear from the beginning that Gemma was not just doing her job but that she really cared and wants the best for her clients. She has a wealth of experience and was able to suggest improvements and ideas. Her fitting of my wedding dress really enhanced the final garment. I can highly recommend Gemma.
After weighing up six options, I finally decided on a gorgeous Meshki dress for my wedding. I was recommended Gemma by a good friend, but was initially concerned she might not be able to fit me in as my wedding was only three weeks away! Gemma was brilliant from day one!
