Gemma at Pink Couture is an absolute superstar! From start to finish, she made the whole experience so special and stress-free. She worked on both mine and my wife’s wedding dresses- mine was two sizes too big and my wife’s three- and somehow managed to make them fit like they had been made just for us. Every single alteration was done with such care, precision, and love.
She completely remade the lace on my wife’s gown around the chest and sleeves to suit exactly how she wanted it, and it turned out even more beautiful than we imagined. She added hidden loops and handles to lift my heavy train, which made it so much easier to move and dance in. Gemma also created the most stunning Swarovski crystal veil for me, which sparkled perfectly in the light- a true showstopper!
One of the most touching things she did was sew a heart-shaped piece of fabric from my wife’s mum’s dress into her gown. It was such a beautiful, emotional gesture that meant the world to us both. It’s those thoughtful details that make Gemma so special.

Gemmas attention to detail is amazing. She wants to genuinely get to know you to make sure the dress is perfect for you. I stood in my dress and she told me everything that needed doing without me even having to ask first.. Everything I was worried about she addressed before I asked about it.. she definitely knows what shes doing! I had ribbons sewn into my train so that I could easily carry it around and a button added to pin it up in the evening. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Definitely recommend 🤍
If I was to describe the service from Gemma in one word - FANTASTIC! I was super nervous about having fittings, but Gem was very conscientious and made me feel right at home. Not only did she take a lot of care with my dress, but she asked me how I wanted things and talked through what she was going to be doing. When I bought my dress, we told the shop we were actively trying to conceive, making a bump a possibility. At my very first appointment, Gemma immediately noticed a critical issue: while the dress fit my three-month bump perfectly at the time, she honestly told me it would never accommodate a six-month bump on my wedding day.
She immediately sprang into action. She personally sorted out the logistics with the bridal shop to initiate a dress swap, and she stayed on the phone with me, guiding my selection to ensure the new gown had the potential for the necessary complex alterations. This level of support was far beyond the scope of a typical seamstress; she was a true advocate and problem-solver.

Gemma is an absolute magician in what she does!! I purchased my dress slightly too big as I was an awkward inbetween size - I was so worried about his so went to see Gemma for some advice originally and she reassured me it would all be okay! Gemma was literally amazing. I was quite worried about my dress as I'm not really a dress person, more of a jeans and tshirt kinda gal, so a wedding dress was a big challenge. I also managed to pick the most princess looking dress ever (which I loved), but did get worried after buying it and before the fitting. However, Gemma made me feel amazing at mt first fitting. Super positive and just had such good knowledge about any adjustments that were needed. It was a very delicate fabric and I'm sure it was super hard for her to work with, yet she did everything so professionally and it came out amazing. I had the most perfect wedding day, and got a rather big "wow" reaction from my dress, which Gemma was in no small part responsible for.
