This review us in regards of a previous review I saw about 4 weeks ago.. where the person is complaining about a king king movie, I was inside the restaurant and the fact that this person is mentioning that the movie finished it is absolutely not true, the movie was changed. Her husband never complaint about the movie and never asked for the movie to be changed. Our table and the table next to her were glancing at the movie just because the tv was on… I am writing this review because if someone is going to complaint about something they need to be accurate and speak the truth about it. When you write a review it matters to the restaurant and the people who work there … just because you are upset it does not give you the right to harm a business with lies. Yes the big screens were placed for the World Cup as most Colombian restaurant do and have in Jackson heights … Colombians love soccer ⚽️ I love this restaurant - I love the food plus they have new items in their menu and are amazing !!!

אם אפשר לקרוא לזה ארפה, אז אלו הארפות הכי טעימות שאכלתי בחיי! ואכלתי הרבה, גם בקולומביה. טעמנו שתי גרסאות: Arepa de Queso, עם גבינה בבצק, ו־Arepa de Choclo, רכה ומעט מתקתקה. שתיהן פשוט מעולות ומיוחדות מאוד! שווה להגיע במיוחד ממנהטן. ביקור חובה בכל פעם שאגיע לניו יורק. לא לפספס!

I really love this place and it’s got one of the best, if not, the best arepas in Jackson Heights. Although, what’s stopping me from giving full 5 stars is the fact there’s an auto gratuity. That alone leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Also, $7 for a small plate of rice is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. Listen, this place is absolutely amazing but there’s a couple issues that need to be addressed that ultimately ruined my experience for the most part.

Carisimo para lo que es la arepa con pedasitos de carne no es gran cosa.NO regreso ni loca me voy a mi casa me hago la misma arepa con mas carne queso o huevo o lo que quiera para 3 personas y salgo pagando lo mismo que para una sola en ese lugar.

I am writing to flag an extremely disturbing incident that just happened at Arepa Lady on 37th and 77th street. We are regulars at this restaurant, and it happens to be my six year old daughter's favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. I often run into other families with young children eating there. We showed up today at around 7:30 PM to have dinner as a family. Ever since the World Cup, management installed 4 giant screens on the wall, which I don't love but have tolerated it since my daughter and my family love the Arepa Lady so much. When I came in today, I noticed that they were playing King Kong, which I later learned is rated PG-13 for scary monsters and explicit gun violence. I did not want to make waves so I refrained from complaining, but when the explicit gun violence started, I felt compelled to ask the staff to change the movie to something more family friendly. Unfortunately, the staff gave me a lot of push back, arguing that other patrons were enjoying the movie and that it is normal for children to watch explicit gun violence on TV in Colombia. As a clarification, my husband is Colombian, and he does not agree with this at all and also asked for the movie to be changed. Other patrons decided to join the fray and told us that, if we did not want to expose our child to adult content, then we should avoid bringing her to restaurants. I feel dismayed that some community members feel that, for our children to be welcome at restaurants in the neighborhood, families must we willing to expose them to violent video content. Eventually, the movie ended, and the staff started playing a less violent movie. I have not been contacted by management about this incident.

Highly recommend the arepa de choclo (more yellow corn based arepa, sweeter) and the arepa de queso (white corn, more mild with cheese to make it richer). We loved the chicken and chorizo fillings with all the house sauces on the table (green mayo, hot sauce, sweet pineapple). There’s also a few tables outside to sit on the sidewalk. Affordable beers too. Would definitely come back!

The food was OK. I got the Arepa de Choclo. It’s a little expensive for the size. It was about $16. The service was OK. The atmosphere was OK. Nothing was outstanding about this place. I don’t know if I would come back. I think you can get bigger portions of food for that price in the area

Buonissime le pietanze e superlativa la storia che le accompagna. Storia di riscatto di colei che ha aperto questo locale qui nel Queens. Si tratta di Maria Piedad Cano che lascio’ la Colombia negli anni 80 per trasferirsi nel Queens aprendo un carrettino la notte dalle 10 di sera alle 4 del mattino per vendere le sue Arepa. Tutte le sere c’era una fila interminabile… poi nel 2014 l’apertura del suo locale, gestito ora dai figli. Storia e Arepa formidabili!
