Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we sincerely apologize. What happened here was unacceptable, and this was our fault.

Our employee should have known that the shuttle had been canceled before selling you a ticket and giving you a departure time. Just as importantly, once it became clear that people were waiting for a shuttle that was not coming, someone from our team should have immediately come out, explained the situation, apologized, and helped you with your options. You should never have had to come inside and ask what was happening.

While an employee made the mistake, ultimately the responsibility belongs to us as a company. We did not have the proper communication and procedures in place to prevent this from happening, and we are addressing that with our team. We are also working on additional training so our employees have accurate service information and know how to communicate quickly when schedules change.

We understand that you trusted the information we gave you and, as a result, wasted part of your visit waiting for a shuttle that wasn’t running. We’re very sorry.

If you have not already received a refund, please contact us with your proof of purchase so we can refund your ticket. We appreciate you letting us know what happened—it gives us an opportunity to correct a problem that should not have occurred in the first place.

We do need to provide some important context to this review. The “back area” referenced here is private property and is not a public access route. It is an operational area that we use to park, maneuver, load, and unload our buses and trailers.

We are aware that some people use this private property as a shortcut to and from the neighboring park, but that does not make it a public roadway or access point. There is another route available to exit the area without being impacted by our buses.

Our employees should always communicate professionally, and we will address any concerns regarding how an interaction was handled. At the same time, our staff should not be expected to move buses, trailers, or other equipment simply to accommodate someone using our private operational area as a shortcut.

For everyone’s safety, particularly with large buses and trailers regularly moving through this area, we ask that members of the public use the designated public access routes and respect private-property boundaries.

We’re sorry you missed the bus and the opportunity to visit Multnomah Falls, but we do need to correct a few important details in this review.

Our staff did instruct you to wait outside for the bus, as our buses do not pull into or load from inside the store. Unfortunately, those instructions were not followed, and the bus departed on schedule.

Additionally, the statement that we did not offer a refund is simply not accurate. Your tickets were refunded at the time you missed the bus.

We understand how disappointing it is to miss something you were looking forward to, especially while visiting the area on a once-in-a-lifetime trip. However, it is frustrating to receive a review stating that our staff failed to provide instructions or a refund when both occurred.

We work hard to provide clear directions and keep our buses running on schedule for all of our guests. We’re always willing to take responsibility when we make a mistake, but we also believe it’s important to correct inaccurate information when it is posted publicly.
