I’ve suffered with bunion pain since childhood and was always told it was something I would simply have to manage until it became severe enough to require surgery. I was also warned that surgery could reduce my mobility and impact my active lifestyle, which made me reluctant to explore it further.
In my 30s, I decided to revisit my options and booked an appointment with Mr Akimau. From our first consultation, he immediately understood my frustration. He clearly explained the cause of my pain and more importantly, reassured me that it could be treated using a minimally invasive technique. The procedure and recovery were explained thoroughly, which gave me real confidence in moving forward.
I’m so glad I did. The results have been incredible; I’m back at the gym, walking and running completely pain free. An added bonus is how much better my foot looks as well.
