I came across Orthopaedic Innovation and The Kley Rapid Hip procedure while researching private care, from my first point of contact with Vlad I had nothing but great care, all my questions were thoroughly answered and I was put at ease!
On the day of my surgery both Kristian Kley and Professor Wilson were brilliant, the surgery went well and I was up and about within 2 hrs, up and down stairs and walking without crutches, best of all no pain!
I am currently 6 weeks and 3 days post surgery and today I returned to my job as a Fitness Instructor!
I cannot recommend this procedure enough, my scar is tiny and healed perfectly, I have no limp and no pain, was driving and back in the gym after 10 days!
I can honestly say it has been life changing!

He arranged to see my daughter within 24 hours and had already organised an MRI scan in advance, which meant everything was handled so promptly and efficiently. His professionalism, dedication and proactive approach were truly reassuring during a worrying time as a parent. It was clear that her wellbeing was a priority, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and attention he gave her. It is rare to come across someone so responsive, organised and compassionate. This is the way joint replacements should be done. After nearly two years on a waiting list and no progress in sight I had almost no mobility and opted for a bilateral hip replacement. Everyone at Orthopaedic Innovation was professional, efficient and considerate and the Kley rapid hip method worked wonderfully.
I am now well ahead of the normally expected recovery time for a single hip replacement and people I speak to are amazed that I have so recently had both my hips replaced.

My experience from the initial contact through to leaving the hospital was absolutely 5 star. Consultants were absolutely amazing. End result was as they predicted. Complete Hip replacement and driving my car exactly 2 weeks later. Could not recommend this service any more highly to anyone considering surgery. Surgeon said it would be minimally invasive and he could not have been any more accurate. Scar not more than 4 inches long. Thank you Orthopaedic Innovation.
The recommendation of taking up the rehab clinic post operation is something not to be dismissed. Lynden Hills Clinic physiotherapists were very good.

After a long period of researching hip replacement surgery, I was continually drawn back to Orthopaedic Innovation. I was attracted by the expertise of the surgeon, the minimally invasive technique, the short operation time and the rapid recovery. The cost of the surgery was also very competitive at £12500.
I had my surgery late afternoon Friday 17/07/2026 and was discharged early Saturday morning. My 3 hour car journey home was very comfortable. I could weight bear from day 1. I had minimal pain, swelling or bruising .I could walk unaided and drive at the end of week 3. Recovery continues to be excellent.
The Weymouth Hospital is clean and tidy and the food was nice.
The whole process from the pre operation meeting to the day of surgery was well organised. The whole team was professional, but at the same time friendly and approachable. The administration support, Vlad and his team, were very supportive and efficient.
If you are considering Orthopaedic Innovation for your hip surgery , do not hesitate to contact them and have a chat . You will not be disappointed.
£12500 for a hip in the UK is amazing value.
Less invasive = faster recovery and no restriction in post op movement meant I was playing golf after 6 weeks.
I'll be back for my other hip in a few years time.

My husband David was in extreme pain with severe osteoarthritis of the right hip. We found Prof Adrian & Dr Kristian whilst looking for treatment. I first met Professor Adrian Wilson in 2019 after several years of recurring knee problems following a rugby injury at university. Despite previous keyhole surgery, I reached the point where I couldn’t run, play sport or even walk comfortably for long periods.
From my very first consultation, Professor Wilson inspired confidence. He took the time to explain not only what was wrong with my knee, but why it had continued to cause problems and what the best long term solution would be. I underwent a distal femoral osteotomy, which was a major operation with a long and challenging rehabilitation, but I always felt I was in expert hands.
Over the following years, Professor Wilson continued to monitor my progress carefully, taking a measured approach and never recommending further treatment unless it was genuinely necessary. When the time came for a specialised cartilage restoration procedure, he introduced me to Dr Pablo Gelber in Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading cartilage surgeons, ensuring I received the very best care for the next stage of my treatment.
Today, almost ten years after my original injury, I’m back enjoying an active lifestyle including cricket, golf, tennis, padel, swimming and the gym. I still look after my knees carefully, but they no longer dictate my life.
Looking back, what I appreciated most was Professor Wilson’s honesty, expertise and long term approach to my care. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing a complex knee problem.

I have had 3 operations on my knee, reoccurring oozing of fluid , immense pain , inability to walk! Effectively destroying my life for 2.5 yrs ! Until I spoke with Professor Adrian Wilson, who on the day he was flying out on a family holiday to MENORCA took time to be with me , refer me on a cost basis as private is to expensive!To NHS , where the professors top man Vlad gave me reassurance after hitting a brick wall that the NHS must sort as a centre of excellence at Oxford! Love to them both !!! Xxx I am waiting to meet Duncan Whitehall who the professor recommended! Love at least I see light in the tunnel! Xx
