DJ Del Soul was absolutely amazing! He brought such great energy to our wedding and truly helped keep the crowd on the dance floor all night long. His music selection was perfect, he knew exactly how to read the room and keep the vibe going. Beyond that, he was incredibly kind, easy to work with, and made the whole experience stress-free and so much fun. Our guests are still talking about how great the music was! We couldn’t recommend DJ Del Soul enough, he’s the best!

I have worked for many years as a videographer (HI FOCUSED Cinematography) in the wedding industry here on Maui, so when it came time for our wedding, I had long known who I wanted to be a part of  our vendor dream team.  Truly the best of the best offered here on Maui!   Del is professional, thorough but also charismatic and funny too!   A combination of all the best attributes for someone to host your wedding reception.Del is most known for being a DJ but he also officiates.   If our wedding had a reception party with music, we, without a doubt, would have hired him to DJ. Considering his personality and our long time friendship, it wasnt a hard choice to choose Del to officiate our ceremony. Together we worked on a ceremony that was very personalized and authentic to me and my bride. From our vision, Del came up with a script that was personal, profound but also  with moments of light humor, the perfect combination for a wedding ceremony.   On the wedding day he beautifully delivered our ceremony.  Del has been my friend for years so it made our day even more special to have him be apart of our wedding day!  Thank you for all your work in making it the perfect wedding day for us! After coming recommended by our wedding planner, my husband and I decided to book DJ Del for our wedding, and we both agree that it was one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process! In my opinion, the DJ/ MC is one of the things that can make or break a wedding guests' experience, so I was super nervous about picking the right one, but DJ Del was 100% the man for the job, and crushed it from start to finish. To start off, he's just an all around cool dude, which made it super easy to work with him. We made the decision to book him after getting a bit of a sense of his vibe from his social media and website, and reading through a bunch of his reviews, which were all overwhelmingly positive. After doing so (through our wedding planner), he asked us to provide him with notes that went over the type of music that we like, what we want played, what we don't want played, ect. We tried not to request too many specific songs to allow him opportunity to cater his selections to the crowd, and instead provided him with information about our group, and described the vibe that we were going for. We also spoke on the phone a week or two before the wedding, where we went over the reception and discussed all of the details that involved him at length. He was funny, super easy to talk to, and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. He also had really good insight into what makes a wedding reception flow well, and assisted me in tweaking the order/ timing of a couple things so there were no lulls throughout the night, and the momentum of the party kept building. Ultimately, the result of the very simple groundwork that we put in, in combination with DJ Del's talent and preparation, was a reception that went better than I ever could have expected, and a dance floor that stayed popping the entire night. Even before the dancing started, DJ Del was amazing at engaging with out guests as MC. He was fun and funny without being cheesy or too unserious, and did an amazing job guiding everyone and encouraging everyone to visit the bar, go up to the food stations for seconds, ect. When it came time for the grand entrances and first dances, he made sure everyone knew what to do and where to go, and hyped all of us in the wedding party up, so we went out there with awesome energy that stuck throughout the entire night. After the first dances, we went straight into the dance party and the song selections did not miss. I'm pretty sure everyone at the wedding was up on the dance floor at some point in the night, and there was never a point where it felt quiet or empty. I could tell that he really understood what I wanted from my notes and did such a good job of choosing songs that matched the vibe that we were going for, whilst also catering to guests of all different ages. He also helped me pull off a birthday surprise for my cousin to the song "In Da Club", which went off without a hitch. He checked in with me at several points about different little details just to make sure I was happy with how everything was going. At one point I jumped on the mic to open the song "No Hands" by loudly exclaiming its iconic first line: "listen to this track, b*tch". It was a major highlight for me (lol). Up until the very end of the night, DJ Del had the best energy that kept us all hype and having so much fun. I HIGHLY recommend hiring him as your DJ if you want to dance your actual butt off and have the time of your life with all of your family and friends. Thanks again, DJ Del, for bringing the party and helping make our wedding the most fun day ever!

So much more than just a DJ! Del is a fantastic master of ceremonies! We were lucky enough to find him last minute after our previous DJ unfortunately had to leave the island. DJ Del was extremely organized thankfully and was able to catch up in the planning phase quickly. He used to be a US marine and is great at getting people's attention which was so much more critical than we realized at our reception. He also came to our rehearsal which we weren't expecting and ran the whole thing bc he was so in sync with our plans and wedding planner. On the wedding day, he was so fun and kept us on the timeline and helped with drinks, food, and other reminders for us. He was our security when we got swarmed with guests for photos before we could even sit down to eat and catch our breath. He played all of our requests and also had his own amazing mix that had people dancing for over 4 hours straight! He was super funny and helped with suggestions for people giving speeches and dances and all the announcements (Photo Booth, guest book, safety for sparklers, last call). He was very clear and got people's attention and so many people told me they would have missed signing our book or the Photo Booth closing if it wasn't for Del. Those are memories we definitely wanted to record and were important to us! Everybody loved him and were chanting "Del Del Del Del" and had fun interactions with all of our guests! Del has done soo many weddings and he listened to us but gave us his advice and was able to make so many minor adjustments on the fly that we were able to have an incredible reception that kept our guests engaged until the end. Our wedding lasted over 7 hours! Many mahalos to Del as I have no idea what would have happened last minute if we weren't fortunate enough to find him. He's a great, trustworthy, jack of all trades! Would hire him again 10/10 times with zero hesitation! Mahalo Del!!

THIS GUY. Literally if it wasn't for Del, our wedding wouldn't have been as special as it was. Our coordinator couldn't be there the day before the wedding (for the rehearsal) and he took everything into his own hands and ran through it all with ease. Not to mention that we had 13 people on each side, all of our grandparents and the little ones to work with. There were never any awkward pauses throughout the whole wedding day and he made sure that we were continuously having a good time! While we were getting ready, the power went completely out and he had a friend bring a generator for us to use. He truly went above and beyond and we are SO incredibly grateful to know him now. Please don't hesitate when it comes to working with him. He's a mastermind at what he does, and you won't be disappointed!!

Loved Del the DJ at my nephew’s wedding this week. Music flowed organically without breaks except for special music requested. Sound system at our outdoor venue (Olowalu plantain House) was perfecto! Never unable to hear one- self speak, relaxed agenda with intermittent speakers among the dances. The floor was never empty. A mix of line dancing, new and familiar, smoothness personified. And Del is a super relaxed guy who makes it all seem easy ( when it’s tricky) Thank you Del!

Overall, DJ Del was a great choice for our wedding. He was kind, funny, and personable. He did a fantastic job emceeing our wedding and ensuring the evening flowed perfectly. He also kept the dancefloor hot! He played all of our must-play songs, and stayed away from our "do not play" songs. He also played majority of our chosen songs for open dancing, but added in some great options based on our guests and the dancefloor. We did have a couple of minor issues on the wedding day. Del had made edited versions of the songs we chose for our first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance that were about 1:30 long. We had practiced our dances to these versions (especially our first dance, as we had this choreographed). However on our wedding day, Del came up to us after the ceremony and said he didn't have the edited versions of the first dance or mother/son dance songs. For the mother/son dance, my husband just had to look up at Del and nod to tell him when to slowly fade out the song. For our first dance song, the non-edited version completely threw us off at the beginning of our dance as we hadn't practiced to it. We got the hang of it and it ended up being great, but we definitely felt some panic and stress at the start. We also had a slideshow that my mum had put together to show during the reception. There seemed to be a technical issue when it first started playing as there was no sound for the first minute or so. He worked quickly to correct it, and the sound came on for the rest of it. We understand tech issues happen and are sometimes out of one's control. We are still happy with our decision to work with DJ Del. Despite the few minor hiccups, the overall package was still fantastic.

Choosing DJ Del Sol will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding or major event! He is an outstanding human and made all of our guests incredibly comfortable during our wedding. If you are looking for a wedding DJ/MC Dj Del Sol is your guy! He is helpful, kind, and so talented. Del was very quick to respond and had great suggestions. Aside from helping with the music he also helped with our timeline and gave so many tips on how we could adjust things to make the day flow better. My husband and I were able to give him a few songs and an idea of what we liked, and he filled in the rest perfectly. He knows how to get the party started and how to keep it going. We couldn't be happier with our choice to hire DJ Del Sol as our DJ for our Wedding in April! DJ Del Sol was very responsive and even mixed our first dance tunes to perfection.
