I spent a lot of time researching Doberman breeders in Florida and ultimately settled on Lakewood Doberman Kennels. I’m so glad I did! Rick was incredibly helpful. He answered all my questions and I really like that all of the health information on the dam and sire is available on their website. Everything is out in the open! I have ended up with a beautiful puppy and she is just what I was looking for.

We absolutely love our puppy! He’s so smart, learns so quickly, and has been really calm with our other pets. He’s also beautiful and has the biggest paws! 🐾❤️ You can tell Rick puts a lot of love and care into his puppies. We’re so happy with him and would definitely recommend Rick!

This new edition to the Capa family has been in the works for quite a few years. We have been following Lakewood Dobermann Kennel for a very long time and just kind of knew this is where we wanted a puppy from if we took the plunge.
Roman is absolutely amazing and ridiculously handsome. Incredibly smart and learning so fast.

We were fortunate enough to be working with Rick at Lakewood Dobermann for several months prior to acquiring our fantastic new baby.
Rick is extremely professional. Very happy to provide all of the genetic testing, OAF and bloodlines for all of the dogs and all of the litters so that we could make an educated choice about our new family member.
We were kept informed as Of all of the puppies after whelping with respect to their health and development.
Our little guy came home and immediately demonstrated that he had some crate training and exercise in being housebroken as well as being non reactive to other animals or loud noises such as people, other dogs and even fireworks.
It is clear that the staff and people associated with Lakewood Dobermann’s put a lot of time and energy into properly conditioning and educating these puppies before placing them in their new homes. This can only be achieved with good breeding and. Tremendous amount of effort.
We thought it was amazing for a 10 week old puppy. He is extremely intelligent and playful. He has tons of energy and he is training to follow all commands. The intelligence factors with this breed is off the charts and it requires a tremendous amount of time, energy, and love to incorporate these dogs into your family. It is well worth it for those who choose to make the commitment.
His ears and tail were beautifully done and the detailed instructions and videos provided by Rick on posting/stenting the ears are very helpful, even for someone with experience.
Overall, this has been a fantastic experience and this is my fifth Doberman pinscher.
I would highly recommend Rick Pezzino and the Lakewood Dobermann family for anyone Who is considering bringing home a fantastic prize.
We truly could not speak more highly of Rick. We placed our deposit at the end of 2024 but were not quite ready to bring home a puppy at that time but we simply knew we wanted one of his. Rick was completely understanding and periodically checked in to see how we were doing and whether the timing was right.
When we were finally ready, the entire process was incredibly easy and enjoyable. Rick was always responsive, patient, and happy to answer every question we had. We have now had our puppy home for 48 hours and are already completely in love.
Even our veterinarian was amazed by how thoroughly Rick documented our puppy’s lineage and health records. They could not believe how organized and comprehensive everything was.
Rick, we cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to staying in touch and keeping you updated as our puppy grows!

Our beautiful Doberman started his life at Lakewood Kennels before making the journey to Canada and into our family....
I don’t think Lakewood could ever truly understand what they gave us when they gave us Milo.....
To them, he may have been one of the beautiful puppies they raised and cared for....
To us, he is family....
He waits for us...He watches over us. He makes us laugh. He knows when something isn’t right. He gives us that kind of unconditional love that only a dog can give....
And somehow, without ever saying a word, he became one of the most important parts of our home....
I absolutely love him !
One day, Milo’s face will be a little greyer, his steps will be a little slower, and I know I’ll wish I could have these years all over again....
So thank you, Lakewood Kennels...And most of all, thank you for sending this beautiful boy all the way to Canada and into our lives....
You didn’t just give us a Doberman.

I am extremely happy with Lakewood Kennels and my Doberman.
He is my dream dog and they were my dream breeder. I’ve wanted a Doberman for a while now, I work in the vet field so I was picky on what I wanted and just blessed to be able to have one of Lakewood’s Dobermans.
I’ve had my pup for just a few weeks and he is the smartest dog I’ve owned, I could not have received a better dog. I can’t wait to watch him grow, he is truly the most Handsome Doberman and everything I wanted in one.
Rickie is also a so kind and you can truly tell they love the dogs.
My husband and I own Colonial Animal Hospital, and these puppies have been coming to us for quite some time for all the routine visits and checkups. Their puppies are always well taken care of and look like they’re showered with so much love, and so do all their breed pairs/pets. I wanted to gift my friend a puppy as a surprise and only wanted to work with Lakewood Kennels. They helped me to make my friend’s dream come true and I’m forever so thankful for their partnership, guidance, and love they put into these babies.
I was introduced to Lakewood Doberman Kennels through a neighbor of ours who had a Doberman. I could not speak more highly of Rick and the level of care he has towards his dogs and this business. When we picked up our puppy last week, I was immediately blown away by how intelligent, calm, and sweet our dog was. He handled his crate on night one with no whining or complaints, and was even running into his crate on day two when he was ready for a nap. He went in for his first vet appointment today and the entire staff kept saying how well he was handling everybody - a clear sign of extremely thoughtful and intentional socialization from a young age. I am so excited to have a new addition to the family and am grateful to have been introduced to Rick. Our first Doberman experience was special all thanks to the level of care that he and his team have.
