This is the kind of place you go to when you want to really reward yourself. This is something truely outstanding and just on another level. A very high level.
The food, service, atmosphere, staff and everything was beyond amazing.
You enter and are treated by very friendly staff, and pick a table in the yard with glass ceiling or inside. The decoration is amazing, everything beautiful, spotless and just feels luxurious.
The menu: whatever you fancy, kebab, kofte, soups, pide, lahmacun, and sooo many options. Of course, the highlight and why many people go there is the rotisserie barbecue lamb. You can see it being cooked. I myself had tried it before, so I chose the mixed grill instead.
The portion size is generous, and absolutely filling and fits the price. There were minced kebab skewers, they were top: soft, juicy and delicious.
Beef grilled pieces, very nice, and well done.
Also shish tavuk (chicken) which for me was not great, some pieces were still undercooked in the middle, so I left them aside.
I have noticed this in a lot of Istanbul restaurants whenever I order chicken. It always looks undercooked for some reason. So it is not just here but in other places too which for me is strange.
Anyway, the rest was also super, the ayran was just wow, fresh, ice cold, frothy, it was a treat by itself. The side dishes, salad, bread all fresh and nice.
I was also treated to a plate of halva and a cup of tea at the end.
This is not just a restaurant, this is a culinary journey and experience that you will probably not find anywhere else.
It is worth every penny and you might not go here every day, or every week, but at least you have to try it once.
