Friendly, helpful staff, great location close to Acadia National Park, & lots of amenities! Great family vacation hotel with comfortable rooms, nice breakfast buffet and great unexpected amenities like ice coffee buffet, warm complimentary cookies and 24 hour coffee and cold water. Staff was wonderful from front desk to housekeeping!

Well appointed room, unique Iced Coffee Bar, surprisingly varied breakfast options Our stay at this 2010 built Ellsworth/Bar Harbor Hampton was for just one night Thursday June 24 for three people. Despite it being a weekday the bill was $343.35 as the tourist season had started. We had a rented a vehicle and the Bar Harbor Hampton was priced even higher than this one. We choose Hamptons because of the Hilton ownership oversight, although individually they are privately managed so quality will vary. We came from Minnesota an had just spent three nights at the Portland Downtown-Waterfront Hampton and were in Bar Harbor for a cruise and to check out Arcadia National Park. As it turns out we should have spent the three nights here and just one at the sketchy Portland Hampton. My girlfriend's daughter insists on separate beds for all of us. One great thing about Hamptons is that a rollaway bed added to a double queen room is not an issue, although the quality of the bed itself varies greatly by location. Here our requested rollaway was waiting for us with linens and pillows, and it was a decent one unlike the broken one we got in Portland that also didn't have a pillow or top sheet. My girlfriend actually commented on how nice the room was, a rare nod of approval as we are both a bit cynical. The thermostat had its own remote, the Hilton app actually worked on the TV if I remember right, there was an ice bucket and even a couple mini recycling bins. The view was just the local shopping mall, but that's not what we got the room for. One slight disappointment was being refused the token Hilton Silver Level membership benefit of free bottles of water on arrival. Maybe this isn't a 'select' Hampton. The workout room here was large and modern, unlike many Hampton workout rooms. The pool was also well kept. The normally no frills Hampton breakfast was way above par at this property. There was an abundance of choices and healthy options in bakery, hot and cold items, fresh fruit, toppings, and beverages. This included dairy free and gluten free options like Silk almond milk and Udi's gluten free muffins. See the image postings. This was an especially welcome sight after the sparse Portland Hampton breakfast bar of the previous three days. A surprising discovery I got on checking out the lobby after unpacking was the 'Iced Coffee Bar'. The receptionist told us they were the only Hampton to have one. It had a nice sign, coffee container, a dozen Monin syrups, creamer, ice bucket, cups, stir sticks, and napkins. See the image posting. My girlfriend and daughter planned to try it before we left early the next morning as I had understood from the receptionist it was available 24 hours. Unfortunately, it was taken down during breakfast. I'm not sure the girls even saw it. Other then missing out on the Iced Coffee Bar and not getting the token Hampton Silver Membership bottled water perk, this may have been our best Hampton stay of the dozen or so different Hampton properties we have tried. It should be the textbook model in management for other Hamptons to follow.

Expensive and needs upkeep Stayed here on a trip to Acadia National Park. Everything in the area is double what the rest of the state is. A nice hotel but, for what they charge there was a lot that lacked. The beds were very worn down as were the linens. Black and pink mold spots in the shower and the sink drained extremely slow. Pool was nice but for an indoor pool was too cold.

NOT in Bar Harbor NOT in Bar Harbor. It’s new but 32 mins drive from Bar Harbor. We couldn’t transfer reservation to Bar Harbor. We felt it was deceptive marketing :(

Up to Hampton Inn high standards! We regularly stay at Hampton Inns. This facility is pretty new, and nicely maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. The public spaces were clean and our room was equally clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient for accessing the area’s features as well as shopping. The town of Ellsworth is charming - we enjoyed yummy baked goods from a local bakery. Did not award an excellent rating as the side door to the hotel is not locked and anyone could have opened it without a key card.

We had a fabulous stay at the Hampton Inn Ellsworth, Maine. It's a great location as it's right in the middle between the airport in Bangor and Acadia in Bar Harbor. The hotel was wonderful! The nicest people at the front desk.. a great breakfast.. comfortable room with strong and quiet AC. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. It was truly a perfect stay.

Amazing Hotel and Staff!!! What a great experience! I have Never dealt with a more pleasant group of people. From the person at check-in and check-out , the maids and the breakfast person tending the buffet. The room as usual was very nice. The pool and hot tub was amazing.

Great Stay while visiting Acadia National Park Enjoyed my stay here. Loved the Halloween decorations in the lobby and dining area. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I forget the name of the lady was there working the breakfast hours, but she was super sweet and I enjoyed talking to her in the morning. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great if you plan to visit Acadia National Park and/or Bar Harbor. It was about a 24 minute drive to and from the National Park. It’s a very convenient location.

Clean, comfortable and convenient The Hampton Inn in Ellsworth was a great spot for 2 nights on our Maine family vacation. Mera was very friendly and helpful at check-in! We had 4 adults in a 2-queen room and were plenty comfortable with enough space to get ready and relax. We had room 317 which was on the top floor and faced behind the building; we were near the elevator but never heard a thing. The two nights we stayed, the building was nice and quiet with no inside or outside noise disturbances. The beds were very comfortable, which was needed after long days of driving. The room was equipped with a good sized mini fridge, a microwave and coffee maker. The positioning of the fridge/microwave hutch was in a weird spot, since it didn't allow the microwave to be plugged in (it just barely reached the outlet), so we moved the microwave over to the desk/table and plugged in there. This hutch also slightly blocked some of the tv view for one of the beds, but wasn't an issue. Water pressure & shower was good, with body wash, shampoo & conditioner that smelled great! The hotel is conveniently located, and right across the street from a plaza with a Hannaford's (my favorite supermarket chain), if you need any drinks or snacks. Also recommending checking out Pat's Pizza in Ellsworth, as well!

Not the best Hampton Inn Hotel is a lower end of Hampton Inns. Have stayed in many many over the years and this one is just okay. Room was decent and of a good size but just plain. Bathroom area was okay. Breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn. The staff at front desk were not very hospitable and didn’t give a good first impression
