Shane, the owner/trainer, is very professional. He explains his services offered in great detail and recommends a training plan based on what behaviors need to be learned or improved. My dog improved his behavior better than expected. At the end of training, he will bring the dog to you and show you how to continue training. Shane provides training equipment for the owner to continue training at home that is included in the price of the package. He does a great job following up after the training.

Shane is the best. We did a 3 week training with our Belgian. She came back a completely different dog. She is now great with both of my young kids and is no longer destructive. Shane is very knowledgeable and is responsive whenever we have questions.

We enrolled our dog Murph in Shane’s Chaos to Confidence four-week course. Murph is a rescue who had pretty good obedience and was great with people. Unfortunately, he would turn into a completely different dog when other dogs came into his space.
We spoke with Shane, and he gave us a full breakdown of his program and what we could realistically expect. Throughout the entire process, he communicated clearly, keeping us informed and guiding us on how to work through everything.
At one point, we thought Murph might just be aggressive—but it turns out he was simply scared and didn’t know how to react. The first video of Murph being around another dog without completely losing his mind left our jaws on the floor. Four weeks later, he came back to us a changed dog.
His obedience skills are top-notch now, and he knows how to properly react when other dogs are around. We couldn’t ask for a better result.
Shane did a wonderful job with my two boys! We were so worried our golden had a behavior problem that could not be fixed and we feared having to give him away or worse! Since they’ve been home we have had no issues with the aggressive behavior!! Our lab puppy is so much more manageable! As an 80lb lab he was getting very difficult to manage! I am so happy we had Shane train our boys!! An investment worth every penny!!
Shane did an amazing job working with our girl Maya. Before Maya went to stay with Shane for her 3 weeks of puppy training, taking her on a walk such a struggle. Her first walk after she came home was such an amazing difference. She didn't react to the four wheeler that passed us on the trail or any of the other people and dogs that were out for a walk. The difference is like night and day! We practice “place”, “sit” and “down” every day and she is doing wonderful! Maya will be going back to stay with Shane for 3 more weeks of obedience training in August and we are confident that she is going to get the best care and training while she is there! We highly recommend Wags and Wisdom Dog training!
We were nervous to leave our dog for 4 weeks but we were beyond fed up with her behavior. Shane was very responsive and reassuring, sent frequent updates including videos, and most importantly, transformed out little misfit pitty into a well behaved pitty princess.
Shane did an absolutely amazing job with our Belgian Tervuren (Malinois), Princess. We opted for the 3 week program Wild to Well-Behaved Board & Train. We rescued Princess just a month or so before we contacted Shane. She was a very sweet dog, but with extremely high energy. She was easily distracted and difficult for me to walk. After 21 days with Shane, we took a 2 mile walk this AM without a single behavioral issue. No pulling or chasing everything she saw. Well worth it. Shane is very professional, knows how to work with dogs and owners alike. Highly recommend.
We can't recommend Shane highly enough! He worked with our two Australian Shepherds who were struggling with serious in-house aggression issues. From day one, Shane approached the situation with professionalism, patience, and an incredible understanding of dog behavior. The progress our dogs made under his guidance was truly amazing—they’re now able to actually be in the same room and go on walks under our supervision without incident, something we weren't sure would ever be possible.
On top of that, when my wife unexpectedly broke her arm and we needed the dogs to stay with Shane a bit longer, he accommodated us without hesitation. That kind of flexibility and care meant the world to us during a really stressful time. Shane went above and beyond, not just as a trainer, but as someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of both dogs and their humans.

This is a follow-up to a previous post about Wags and Wisdom. Our dog Koda has been home for over a month and as we continue to do the training Shane started and went over with us, he has really become a great dog. We can walk the neighborhood without the leash at heel and he perks up but does not lunge at or chase the other dogs nor the deer that we encounter. In the house he has stopped lumping and nosing guests. Overall we are very happy with the training he received at Wags and Wisdom. Shane is the best!!!

We brought our 11 month old puppy to Shane and we are extremely pleased with the results!! The puppy was pretty well behaved outside, but was a mess in the house, jumping and nosing visitors. We sent him to Shane at Wags to Wisdom hoping to correct these problem, but at the same time being cared for by someone who loved dogs and did not do it for just a paycheck. After the three weeks our dog returned a perfect pooch!! During the training, Shane sent us videos of the training sessions and we could tell our dog was being taken care of as he was affectionate with Shane and his wife. Shane brought him home and demonstrated what we had to do to continue the training. We could not be more pleased with the end result. Shane trained my girl, Violet. He did a remarkable job. She is now my service dog and behaves well Anywhere we go, even to Hershey Bears games and concerts. Etc! (It is loud and busy but thanks to Shane she is well adjusted and calm) training with them is well

This is a long review- but it’s most deserving! I have always owned dogs and when it comes to the standard puppy training I like to think I know what to do :) Kaida is my first German Shepherd- super lovable, extremely smart, easy to train in so many of the basics, but I was experiencing something I had never seen before, reactivity to other dogs and kids and situations while we were outside. On the mild side it was ruffling of her hair, on the extreme it was barking and jumping and just chaos to the point where going outside was just super stressful for her and I. Not to mention because of this trying to teach her to walk on a leash was basically non-existent. I want to highlight, she is not aggressive in any way, she was just completely emotionally unsure of what to do and I was completely unsure of how to help her and YouTube videos were not helping lol!! Enter Shane and his amazing ability to do what he does! Three weeks of board and train and Kaida is literally transformed. Are we both 100% fixed - and I say we because this is a learning and evolving process for both her and I, not yet, but I say we are 90% there which is more than I ever imagined was possible in such a short time frame. Her and I are back outside, going on walks, being around others, there is no pulling, she is walking beside me, no barking, no jumping, controlled emotional reactions. Even my dog walker was texting me on their first walk together after Kaida got back commenting on how so surprised she was on how super easy she is to walk now. Oh and she has come back with a few more tricks and manners up her sleeve which of course I am showing off to friends and family as well. I did my research before I went with Shane and I definitely made the right decision! 1000% would do it again and would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with a dog at home and just needs that extra help.

Wonderful experience. Shane was great. We can now walk our nine month old beagle without him pulling us everywhere. And in addition to knowing commands, after he returned, he has learned to settle. Well worth the cost, and we highly recommend the board and train program.

Shane is an amazing trainer! He has a true gift working with dogs! I've had German Shepherds my whole life and love the breed. My current Shepherd, Schatzi, came to me as an 9 week old pup and became pretty bull headed as he grew older. Our biggest challenge was coming when called (recall). As a result, he had to drag a long leash when we were outside, so I could catch him when it was time to come in. This hindered where we could go and robbed us of so much fun. After doing some research, I reached out to Shane. He was so helpful and reassuring over the phone, when I explained what Schatzi and I were struggling with. I decided to move forward with the "board and train" option and it was the best decision I ever made! Shane sent me videos and texts daily, to share Schatzi's progress. At the end of the training period, Shane worked with me and Schatzi together, and I was able to apply what I learned once we got home. Schatzi is now leash free, responds beautifully when called and is able to enjoy so much more fun and freedom, thanks to Shane! I do some reinforcement training at home 1-2 days a month, and Schatzi does a wonderful job. Before reaching out to Shane, I was frustrated and tried everything, even spending $200/ week for doggie daycare, so Schatzi could run in a fenced area. Shane has made such a huge difference in our lives! We are forever thankful to the new world full of fun and freedom he's given us! I've included a picture of Schatzi practicing his 'place' command. This never would've been possible without Shane. If you frustrated with you dog or are in need of guidance, please reach out to Shane.
