I visited Forbes Opticians as part of the MECS service (minor eye conditions service, an NHS funded scheme that provides free assessment and treatment) as I had something stuck underneath my top eyelid, this had been irritating my eye once I took my contact lens out at night, and I couldn't find it or dislodge it, but the optician found it straight away, even though it was miniscule, and removed it and I now have no problems. Thank you so much Forbes, I will recommend you to anyone who needs an optician.
I joined Forbes earlier this year for an eye test and some new glasses and was very impressed with all the staff and service at the time.
I went back today as I'd experienced some eye issues. The staff were so helpful in fitting me in quickly to have my eye examined. They are all friendly and efficient.
Thank you Forbes for fitting me in between appointments on a Saturday afternoon to examine and test my bloody eye at short notice.
I was particularly concerned about the sudden bleeding as the eye had recently had a replacement lense and a corneal transplant.
I was given assurance that the eye was healthy and
the blood would disappear within a couple of weeks as it was a burst blood vessel.

I visited this optician seeking advice and a quick over-the-counter examination to determine if there was an object in my eye, as the optometrist was seated in reception without any other customers. He responded by placing his hands in front of his face, repeatedly stating "no, no, no." Despite my evident discomfort, his demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. His customer service skills were severely lacking.
