A cozy, hidden countryside pub that’s great for a relaxing weekend drink after a walk. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The food is standard pub fare, fine and filling with classic options like pies and bubble and squeak, though not particularly memorable or delicious.
Unfortunately, our order was mixed up on both food and drinks during our visit. While the staff weren't defensive, there was no real acknowledgement or attempt to rectify the mix-up, even though we tried to be accommodating. It’s a lovely spot for a post-walk pint, but we’re on the fence about coming back for a full meal.
