We had the absolute BEST time on our Douro Valley day with BL Heritage (through Airbnb tours). Our guide Leo was 10/10!! ✨ He was prompt, kind, knowledgeable, and even brought us treats! Every stop of the tour was fabulous— overlook, wineries, lunch, and boat tour. I would 100% do this tour again and would recommend to all!

Great wine, boat, lunch adventure in the Douro Valley Excellent wine tour of the Douro Valley with Luis (aka Jose). He did an exceptional job chaperoning our small party of 7 from Porto to the valley and back. It was a relaxing, fun, knowledge building and wine experience. Visited a small boutique winery in the late morning on the banks of the Douro River. Spectacular views! A relaxing small 1 hour boat ride on river in the early afternoon was excellent. Had a cocktail and some great starters. Culmination of the trip in a second winery for a tour and an excellent Portuguese lunch. All told, a full wonderful day. Highly recommend the venture and Luis was and is top notch!

Thoroughly Delightful Day in the Douro Valley Our party of 4 had a delightful day. We learned so much about the history of the area, the wines, and the people. Our guide, Luis, was a joy to spend the day with. he was extremely knowledgeable and even more personable. We met at the McDonalds - Imperial. The van we traveled in was comfortable and clean. Luis entertained us on the drive to the valley with pertinent information and stories. It was never a lecture but a conversation among friends. We were kindly welcomed at each winery and enjoyed the diversity of the two. The boat trip was especially relaxing. The quiet electric boat carried us smoothly on the water while we took in the incredibly beautiful views. Luis and co-worker, Rafael, shared insight and knowledge while delighting us with beautifully presented snacks and drinks as we cruised. The lunch on the patio at the 2nd winery was delicious and unhurried (the chef created an amazing culinary experience!) On the way back we asked about Fado music as we had plans to attend an experience but knew little about it; he generously gave us a quick lesson on the history and relevance and even shared a video of a renowned Fado singer that he liked. It was very helpful information! We had a thoroughly delightful day! [...and after we got back to our hotel and realized one of our cell phones was left in the van, Luis went out of his way to meet up and help us retrieve it...so very kind and so very much appreciated!]

Bruno Does It All! Fantastic Porto Wine Tour Bruno was an absolutely fantastic guide for our BL Heritage Tour in Porto! A Wonderful Day Trip to the Douro Valley This was an amazing trip and Joao simply a wonderful and knowledgeable guide for our day. The Douro Valley is incredibly beautiful and fully green in the summer. The drive itself was spectacular in a van perfect for our small group (the was a perfect size by the way). The vineyards and their hosts were wonderful, the boat trip was a great change of pace, and the lunch was a great way to wrap up the day. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting northern Portugal.

Great day trip to see Duoro We did a private tour for our family of 4 and had a super experience. Alex was a perfect guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and flexible. The highlight was the fact electric boat excursion - it’s short but fun especially for the teens. The van was super comfy and air conditioned. We loved the Quinta da Foz winery.

Our private small‑group trip to the Douro Valley with Jose was honestly such a good time. The whole day felt super chill and personal, like we were exploring with a friend who is incredibly kind and funny, and just happens to know everything about Portuguese history and culture, and all the best viewpoints in the Valley. The wineries we visited were small, family‑run spots with amazing wine and even better vibes. We got to taste a bunch of different ports and wines, hear stories from the people who actually make them, and never felt rushed or herded around. Lunch was delicious—simple, local food with a killer view that made us want to stay there all afternoon. The river cruise was the perfect way to relax as we neared the end of our tour. Just drifting between those crazy‑beautiful terraced vineyards made the whole valley feel unreal. If you want a day that’s relaxed, fun, and full of great wine and scenery, this tour is absolutely worth it.

Douro Valley This tour was fantastic! The meeting point was convenient and we left right on time. Joe was our guide and he made sure we were all comfortable. He was a great guide-explaining details about the landscape and wine making and answering questions that we had. The wineries we visited were prepared for us with tastings and tours of the facilities and a delicious lunch. The trip on the river was a great way to end the day. I would recommend doing the small group and would recommend this tour group completely.

We had a wonderful walking tour of Porto with Luis, a young local who clearly has a deep love for his hometown. Despite a rainy start to the morning, Luis made the most of the weather and shared the history of Porto with genuine passion and enthusiasm from beginning to end. We started at the Universidade do Porto and made our way through some of the city's most iconic sites: the Torre dos Clérigos, the stunning Igreja do Carmo and Igreja dos Carmelitas, the Câmara Municipal, and São Bento Station, where Luis gave us a fascinating overview of the history behind the famous azulejos. The tour wrapped up at the lively Mercado do Bolhão, and as a bonus, Luis shared some excellent food recommendations to help us make the most of our time in the city. Luis is knowledgeable, friendly, and a fantastic storyteller. Highly recommended, obrigado Luis!

Jose was a terrific and informative host. The first winery tour was wonderful and educational, and we enjoyed every wine we sampled. Lunch at Quinta dos Novais was delicious — we’d love to get our hands on a few of those recipes! The electric boat ride was a relaxing finish to the day, complete with more delicious treats. This was a well planned, beautiful scenic tour. We would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful day exploring the Douro valley. So glad we did this!! The wine tasting, lunch with wine pairings and river boat ride were excellent Guides were very thoughtful and gave us great information. It was a relaxing day and partly because we had small groups.
