Food is very good, especially the grilled, recommend the morton bay bugs and steak, the lychee creme brulee is something new and interesting.

The Ternary has a polished, modern feel without becoming stiff or overly formal. The high ceilings, large windows, wine displays and lively bar give the space real character, while the city outlook makes it feel distinctly Sydney.
I liked the Grill, Wok and Wine concept because it gives the restaurant a clear identity rather than the usual “something for everyone” hotel menu. The space works equally well for breakfast, drinks or dinner, and the bar area is especially inviting.
What impressed me most was the atmosphere. The Ternary feels like a place you would choose to visit, not simply somewhere you eat because you happen to be staying nearby. The setting is stylish, relaxed and well put together, with enough energy to feel special but still comfortable.
The restaurant also proudly displays its 2026 Travellers’ Choice recognition, and the overall presentation certainly reflects a venue that takes its dining experience seriously.
A memorable Sydney restaurant with a strong sense of place, an appealing concept and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer.
We had a lovely time! The service was amazing from start to finish; particularly our server Daniella, whose service was very genuine and made our anniversary very special.
Came here for my birthday dinner with friends. The menu was really good with a lot of options. Food was delicious! Salmon was fat and juicy, steak was so buttery, lamb tikka was bomb. The aioli had the perfect amount of truffle. It was all too good!
What blew me away the most were the wait staff!! Omg, the service was phenomenal! Every wait staff went above and beyond and they were ALL so so so nice. You should just visit them for their service alone, they made me feel so special on my birthday and looked after us so well.
Huge shout out to Danial P, and honestly all the staff! They all attended to us and were so lovely. Thanks to Gabby for pre-planning the cake as well, did not expect that at all! Definitely coming back!! You guys made my whole birthday. You have amazing staff!! ❤️

How good is the Ternary, fantastic.
Have been eating at the Ternary for years. Regular dining and all celebrations of significance, every time (well over 50 visits) is great, staff, food and atmosphere, some of the staff have been there for years easily over 10yrs and you are treated like a special guest, it is my favourite Sydney restaurant. We always love dining here but I was disappointed that I was unable to obtain the Accor ALL+ discount and credit points for a meal I paid for with a pre-purchased voucher due to a misunderstanding of staff working on that shift. Customer service is all about recovery and when I queried this with the GM Zayne, he asked the F&B Manager to personally intervene to provide me with a complimentary dinner for four. That’s the kind of service that will ensure we keep coming back to the Ternery!

It was our first time dining here, and overall it was an okay experience. We ordered the king prawns, duck leg, garlic naan and the Balmain bug special for entrees.
For mains, we had the char kway teow, tandoori lamb cutlets and tandoori salmon.
Portions were generous, and while the flavours were decent, the char kway teow was definitely the highlight of the meal.
The cocktails were just average and nothing particularly stood out we tried the Flower Power and No woman no rye
On the positive side, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Overall, a solid 4/5 experience.
