Just an overall perfect experience!! Cheryl, and quite frankly all of the staff, are the most amazing people. Cheryl made me feel heard throughout the entire process and encouraged me to try something outside my comfort zone. And thank god I did because then it happened to be MY dress! I wish I could do the process over again with her! She was so knowledgeable and made me feel so special the entire time. It was THEE wedding experience I dreamed of.

I visited NYBride & Co. over the summer to shop for my wedding dress. With my wedding less than three months away, I understood that ordering a dress wasn't an option due to lead times, which was perfectly fine!
My bridal consultant asked about my budget and brought me to their off-the-rack section and she selected dresses within my price range. I ultimately narrowed it down to two dresses, with a clear preference for one. When I asked about pricing, my consultant told me she would need to check. She returned and quoted me $900 for my first choice and $800 for my second. I ultimately purchased my first choice, and I absolutely love my wedding dress!
Unfortunately, my experience was soured when I later visited their Pinterest page, where, at the time, they publicly advertised prices for their off the rack dresses. To my surprise, the dress I purchased for $900 was advertised for $800, while my second choice, quoted at $800, was advertised for just $500.
What makes this especially disappointing is that I had been completely transparent about my budget from the beginning. Both dresses were quoted at significantly higher prices than advertised online, and I couldn't help but feel that my budget, along with the emotional investment of finding a dress I loved, had been used against me.
I was genuinely embarrassed by the discovery. So much so that I couldn't bring myself to tell the family and friends who had accompanied me dress shopping. It honestly made me sick to my stomach. What should have remained a wonderful memory was instead overshadowed by the feeling that I had been taken advantage of during such a meaningful purchase.
I absolutely love my wedding dress, and I don't regret choosing it. What I regret is the lack of transparency surrounding the price. I've since noticed that NYBride & Co. no longer publicly lists prices on their Pinterest off the rack board, as they did when I was shopping.
My advice to future brides: Ask for the price of every dress BEFORE trying it on, and be cautious about sharing your maximum budget. It's incredibly easy to become emotionally attached to a dress once you've tried it on and envisioned yourself walking down the aisle in it. In my experience, I felt that emotional attachment was used to their advantage rather than my own.
Every bride deserves to feel confident not only in the dress she chooses, but also in the integrity of the experience surrounding it. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

Pinterest redirected you to an online shopping site that we had briefly experimented with but have since discontinued, as we found that most brides prefer the in-store experience of trying on gowns rather than purchasing online.
Regarding that particular Lillian West gown, since your visit the style had been discontinued, and the sample had also sustained some damage from being tried on, so it has been re-priced accordingly at $500.
If you happened to see the gown you purchased listed for $800, that pricing would have been associated with a limited-time promotion, such as one of our occasional “This weekend only” sales, that was not updated on the site after the sale.
Much like any retail business, we occasionally offer special promotions and temporary discounts. Once those promotions end, regular pricing resumes.
We certainly understand how seeing a different price could raise questions, and we’re happy to clarify. Please know that at the time of your purchase, you received an exceptional value on a beautiful, current-style gown in excellent condition.

We have never advertised individual dress prices on Pinterest. What you likely came across was one of our social media posts, which automatically appear on our Pinterest page as well. These posts feature a selection of our sale gowns with general pricing such as “Starting at $500” or “$500–$1,100,” rather than prices for specific dresses.
It’s also worth mentioning that Pinterest sometimes displays similar or related Pins from other accounts alongside the content you’re viewing. It’s possible that the pricing you came across was actually from another retailer’s Pin rather than one of ours.
Our sale dress prices are based on factors such as the age of the sample, whether the style has been discontinued, and the condition of the gown.
The dress you purchased is actually a current style, not an older or discontinued design, and was in beautiful, like-new condition. Gowns in that category are typically discounted 30–40% from their original retail price. You received a 50% discount ($900) which is an exceptional value for a gown of that quality and condition!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! From start to finish my consultant Claire was guiding me every step of the way. She listened to my thoughts and feelings as well as helping me step out of my comfort zone dress wise! She made me feel relaxed and happy throughout my whole experience and ultimately helped me find my dream dress! She also did a great job in making my daughter feel included as well! I knew before wedding dress shopping that I loved Essence of Australia dresses. I was very much open to other brands but I had followed EOA for years and it was finally my turn to try one on so I picked NY Bride when looking for my dress specifically because they carried EOA. I was very nervous going in as a plus sized bride. The staff made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident. Even putting on dresses much too small for my body they made it work so I could envision it. We walked around the showroom and grabbed a variety of options to try. My dress ended up being the first dress I had put on. I didn't even realize it was EOA. I was so ecstatic to have my dream dress in my dream brand and it was a great price! Honestly, I was surprised that that most dresses were in the 1k-2k range. They offer to store and press the dress prior to the wedding complimentary as well! I went in to NY Bride feeling a little disheartened that after visiting multiple bridal shops and doing the home try-on options from an online bridal site, I still hadn’t LOVED anything I put on. This was the last local shop before I started searching outside of the area. After an hour of trying on dresses, I still hadn’t found the one. Then I told my stylist, Cheryl, how I wanted to *feel* on my wedding day and she truly understood exactly what I needed. She left, came back, and brought me a couple of new options that were nothing like I had tried on before. The very first one I put on, was my dress. They were very patient with my over 20 dresses trying on process & had so much knowledge. They helped me to narrow down 5-6 dresses and make a follow up appointment. I had such a great experience at NY Bride & Co!!! Cheryl was my consultant and she was perfection. She has an amazing energy. She was attentive, supportive, and honest in a very helpful way!! I never felt overwhelmed or pressured to feel any certain way throughout trying on a lot of dresses. At other dress shops I felt like I had to agree with the consultant but Cheryl created an atmosphere where we all felt comfortable to express all our feelings:)) We went mid day on a weekday which meant the store was very quiet which made the whole experience so so enjoyable and unique. Unexpectedly sound my dress and super excited about it. 10/10 experience
I had a great experience finding my wedding dress at New York Bride & Co. The store and gowns were clean and the staff is friendly. Paige and Cheryl were both so helpful during the process. It was the first store I went to and Paige pulled the gown that I fell in love with and ended up coming back for a few months later after looking other places. The prices were very reasonable.

Kate was amazingggg in helping me find my dress. I came in with a bit of a vague idea of what I wanted. She asked all the right questions and made sure I was comfortable in what I was wearing which is very important to me. The space was fantastic for all guests to see and a very personable feel. I found my wedding dress at New York Bride & Co. and absolutely fell in love with it, especially the back and the beautiful detailing that made the gown so special to me. Unfortunately, once alterations began, I became very concerned about the fit and whether those details would be lost.
I reached out to Valerie, and from that point on she completely changed the experience for me. She listened to every concern, looked carefully at photos, arranged for a seamstress she trusted to take over the alterations, followed up personally throughout the process, and made sure I was kept informed. When there was an unexpected issue with one of my appointments, Valerie took responsibility immediately, apologized sincerely, and went above and beyond to make sure I wasn’t left worrying.
What impressed me most was that she didn’t become defensive or make excuses. She genuinely cared about how I felt in my dress and was determined to make sure I ended up happy.
In the end, my dress turned out absolutely beautiful and I feel like myself in it again. Valerie also offered complimentary dress preservation afterward, which was incredibly generous and completely unexpected.
Wedding dress shopping is such an emotional experience, and problems can happen anywhere. What matters is how a business responds when they do. Valerie showed me exactly what excellent customer service looks like. She treated my concerns personally, communicated with me consistently, and followed through on everything she promised.
I’m incredibly grateful to Valerie for turning what had become a very stressful experience into a positive one. I can now look forward to my wedding feeling beautiful in the dress I originally fell in love with. Thank you, Valerie, for truly caring and for making it right.
