The location is very nice, with a white-sand beach, crystal-clear water, and a jungle backdrop. It’s beautiful and peaceful, far from the crowds and karaoke bars. The coral reefs near the drop-off are healthy, and the abundance of fish and other marine life is incredible. Snorkeling, freediving, and scuba diving are all fantastic there. They also offer complimentary kayaking and paddleboarding. The bungalows are comfortable, with cozy beds, nice bathroom, and a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. There is no air conditioning, but the ceiling fan does the job. The food was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also offer drinks at reasonable prices. Fred and Patrick work hard to keep the beach and surrounding area clean and well maintained. They have also created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. With a bit of luck, you may even spot tarsiers at night! We had a great time there!

Great hideaway closer to nature. Long way to come immediately paid off on arrival to the pristine beach with warm welcoming founders, Patrick and Frederick. They even went further to get satellite internet at decent speed and rate available all around perimeter. Swam with sharks turtles rays and various kinds of tropical fish right in front of bungalow and diving with Tanning was great to explore deeper. Foods from Kasma were delicious even having desserts. Thank you for keeping me live and kicking at the paradise!

Paradise in Selayar! We had an incredible stay with Fred and Patrick. They’ve truly created an idyllic place and are such cool, welcoming hosts. We actually ended up staying longer than planned because we loved it so much. They treated us like kings — thank you again! The villas are fantastic: new, clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The staff is also very friendly, and the food is delicious and very generous. There’s a beautiful beach and amazing snorkeling right in front of the property (we saw sharks, turtles, and more!). Highly recommended!

Ce lieu est un cadeau de la vie où tout est harmonie ! La nature est un cocon où se nichent les bungalows confortables. Tout est beau autour de nous. L'accueil de Patrick et Fred est chaleureux et amical. La cuisine de Kasma est délicieuse, avec une petite touche française... Il y a aussi la présence discrète d'Answar, le maître des lumières et du jardin... Les oiseaux, les papillons, les tarsiers, les écureuils vivent dans les arbres tout autour... La plage est superbe et les couleurs de la mer sont incroyables... Et c'est facile de rencontrer les poissons et les tortues. Le temps s'arrête ici et quand arrive l'heure de partir, on s'en va avec l'envie de revenir partager des moments magiques avec Patrick et Frédéric qui sont devenus des amis

Exceptional ☺ Our stay at Selayar Turtle Bay was really enjoyable. I would dare to say that this is the nicest place on the whole island. Even though it is a bit far away from the ferry terminal and Selayar town, it's well worth the effort of driving down there to really enjoy the picture perfect beach with white sand and crystal clear water and most important - no trash. They can organize the transfer by car and boat for you. The resort is simple, but very clean and neat and Frédérick and Philip have the immemse feeling for esthetics and details. They really take good care of their guests and the property. All the time. The food prepared by a local lady was delicious. And snorkling, literally in front of their place, is superb.

Alors Là !! Que dire de ce lieu merveilleux à tous points de vue !! Le site, par lui même magique, les équipements, l'accueil, tout est exceptionnel ! Mais surtout et avant tout, la rencontre de deux personnes.. deux véritables êtres HUMAINS, qui consacrent leur vie 6 mois par an et leur argent, à conserver et magnifier ce lieu...de vraies belles personnes qui vous réconfortent sur la nature humaine! Vous en avez rencontré beaucoup des gens comme cela ? Nous, en 45 années de voyage en Asie, jamais !! On y a passé 3 semaines de rêve, un temps suspendu...Et vous pouvez avoir la larme à l'oeil !! On espère fortement revenir et quoi qu'il arrive, ils seront à jamais dans nos cœurs , MERCI ❤️❤️❤️

Eco struttura grazie al fotovoltaico (no generatore), letti comodi, bungalow nuovi, puliti e vista mare, cibo di Kasima eccellente, mare sempre calmo e cristallino, snorkelling e diving mozzafiato con Tannin, atmosfera accogliente, disponibilità con tutto compreso l'aiuto nell'organizzazione dei trasporti. Vale la pena fermarsi più settimane, ci si sente a casa!

C’est un endroit à l’écart du tourisme de masse et qui vous reconnecte avec l’essentiel. Merci à Patrick et Fred pour votre gentillesse. Merci également d’avoir été si prévenants et patients avec notre fils de 13 ans. Merci de nous faire partager ce petit coin de paradis et de créer des moments uniques. Exceptional ☺ We spent 6 nights in Turtle Bay. If you are looking for a quiet place without tourists, come here! Beautiful long beach with clear water where you can snorkel and see lots of coral and fish. Accommodation in bungalows is comfortable, everything is clean and new. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious. We even had homemade ice cream and yogurt! Patrik and Frederik took great care of our comfort during our stay. They also helped us arrange transportation to/from Turtle Bay. I highly recommend accommodation in Turtle bay. It was a wonderful vacation that we will remember for a long time.

This is a much overdue 5 star review, because last Christmas Selayar really did give us its heart! We spent a truly wonderful week at the Selayar Turtle Bay Resort over Christmas 2024. Patric and Frederic were the perfect hosts and their team looked after our family, especially our two children (aged 10 and 8), absolutely brilliantly. We stayed in the largest, deluxe villa which had a large double bed and a small mezzanine at the back with two single beds for the children. It was very comfortable and the bathroom was also great. Fans kept us cool at night and we slept really well. We enjoyed relaxing, reading and painting on our large balcony with a sea view. Our family really needed space and time to relax, disconnect and unwind, and Selayar provided this in abundance. The true magic of a stay here is “connecting with nature”. We loved the snorkelling, and were impressed with the quality of the coral and the diversity of the sea life just 50m in front of the resort. The deep drop off and wall provided glimpses of larger species including black tip reef sharks, bump head parrot fish, napoleon wrasse and large schools of trevally, moorish idols and other reef fish. Inland, behind the resort is wild, primary forest. We were surrounded by butterflies, squirrels, lizards, hermit crabs, the sounds of cicadas and frogs, and we were also lucky to be visited by a couple of tarsiers by our rooms in the evenings.. A really positive aspect of Selayar Turtle Bay is the entire resort is powered by a hugely impressive solar panel array that tracks the position of the sun, and stores electricity in batteries for use during the night. In this way, you really feel that staying here is truly eco friendly. A special mention must go to the other members of the turtle bay resort team, Pak Ayong and Ibu Henny. They provided transport in the form of cars and boats, and fantastic meals throughout our stay, as well as looking after and entertaining our children, and taking us on adventures - always with a smile and a joke. Sailing on Pak Ayong’s boat was a highlight as was Henny’s food. Also mustn’t forget Opet the Corgi, the best dog ever, who accompanied us on all our walks up the beach. We really fell in love with them and missing them enormously this Christmas. We absolutely loved our stay and really pleased we made the effort to go to Selayar. It was an absolute highlight of our 4 week trip to Indonesia. Lots of love from Jon, Kat, Rory and Rose

Ein Super Ort. Ich bin schon viel verreist und habe viel gesehen. Aber dieser Ort ist schon speziell schön. Absolut ruhig, tolle Bungalows. Und die beiden Gastgeber Patrick und Frederick sind einfach nur nett, sympathisch, aufmerksam und professionell. Man merkt, dass sie ihre Arbeit und das Resort einfach lieben und es gerne machen.Da steckt überall viel Liebe und Leidenschaft drin. Organisation Anreise und Abreise funktionierten genial. Oh ja , wir kommen sicher wieder. Merci beaucoup.
