Just got off the boat after a great day on the Columbia River crabbing.
Jerad is awesome and we had an amazing trip. Caught our limit and learned a lot about the river and fishing.
If you are looking for a personalized trip with a really knowledgable and sociable guide, Jerad is who you want. We got to pull pots, help clean and cook the crab and enjoy a spectacular trip. And Sadie the deck hand was great!
This was our first ever trip even though we have lived in Astoria for 13 yrs. We will be back soon and will only ever go with River Wanderers.

Thx again to Jerad and his son Bobby for an excellent trip. We had a lot of fun and look forward to calling Jerad in the future.

Outstanding guide!
Jerad gave us one of the best days fishing I’ve ever had, and easily my best Buoy 10 experience ever! He’s friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and motivated to get his guests onto fish! Our day was exceptional in that we put a LOT of fish in the net and ended up filling every tag in the boat, which doesn’t always happen, but what I really enjoyed was that from the very beginning we felt like we were fishing with a buddy we’d known forever. Next time I fish the lower Columbia, it’ll be with Jerad, no doubt!

Hearing you say that makes me so happy! I really enjoyed the opportunity to have you on my boat and I hope to see you again soon. Making friends with my clients is one of the best parts of what I do and you guys made it fun for me too.
Jared was a great host and Captain he made sure that we were in the spots that we needed to be to be able to get our limits today of coho and he even put us in some mackerel for the fun of it. I'd recommend going with him any day of the week.

I had a fantastic time on the Columbia River with captain Jared today fishing for salmon. he has a great boat, the right equipment, and all the knowledge to get fish in the boat. He has a really easy attitude and made the day a pleasure for everyone. If you're looking for a great guide in the Astoria area he's the man to call.
We had such a wonderful experience with the guide and we caught SO MUCH FISH. He was incredibly helpful in teaching us as well as good at starting conversations and overall just being friendly! He did all the leg work and let us just relax and enjoy the trip! He took us all over the Columbia and never once complained we weren’t catching fish just kept trying until he found a better spot for us! Would 10/10 recommend booking him if you’re looking for big fish and a great time!

Salmon fishing Astoria
I had the best experience with this guide! He was very patient and helpful even when mistakes were made on the boat and did everything he could to help us catch fish but also was so respectful of wild regulations and even helped ensure that he was safe from a seal before releasing the wild fish. A very respectful gentleman and very knowledgeable and talented!

Fishing for salmon with Jerod was a dream come true for me. He worked hard to put us on the fish, ran the boat flawlessly, and made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. I’ve been out twice with Jerad. Once for salmon and once for sturgeon. Very professional and knowledgeable. You’ll catch fish but more importantly you’ll have a great trip! I live out here but wasn’t having consistent success. I let him know my goal was to improve my salmon fishing. He spent both trips sharing his knowledge. I’ve significantly increased my success, especially on those hard-to-fish days and feel much more confident. Highly recommend!
Just went with Jared with my groomsman for my bachelor trip and we had an absolute blast. Jared is a true expert, knew what he was doing, and was a great time. 10/10 planning on going again.

Absolute blast! Great time on the water, salmon fishing in the ocean tagged out within 3 hours in a group of 6. Would highly recommend and book again. Jerad was knowledgeable and a great guide. Can't wait for the next trip.

Jared took our family of 10 out in two boats to catch and release sturgeon. Our captains made us all comfortable and confident, despite our varying levels of fishing experience. Our day with River Wanderer was a highlight of our vacation!

Jerad worked with our schedule during our clamming trip to give us the chance to go sturgeon fishing. Both me and my wife loved it and we'll definitely do it again!! Absolutely recommend
