My family stayed here on 9/7/26 and 9/8/26.
The hotel group (Ares) should be ashamed of this building and staff. The hotel staff were doing drugs. They would have sunken blood shot eyes with pale skin and slurred speech which are very consistent with drug use (lots of wiping and sniffing noses and strong morijuana smells coming from them while they wolked past us). My family and I booked 4 nights and had to leave after the second because the staff and other people were using illegal drugs to the point it was making our hotel room stink. Our door lock to our patio fell off the first time we used the door, the water from the shower would form a large puddle in the bathroom during even a short and low water shower (obviously it wasn't directing water to the drain), the hotel hallway carpets are stained and had musty odors, and the air conditioning would not cool our room lower that 25 degrees C(77 degree F). We were moved from one hotel room to another. We had problems in both rooms. We were put on alert after the problems we were having with the staff. We put our do not disturb hangers on the door and had to walk around with our valuables. While we were sleeping, someone came by and took our "do not disturb" hangers and replaced them with a "come in and clean" hanger.
Hotel manager Romina Di Marzio and Alessandro Landini were contacted and seemed very apathetic, they were not concerned. While making a complaint, Romina and Alessandro were basically telling us they didn't believe us. We showed them the awful smell taking over the first floor and second floor of the hotel with pungent marijuana smell and they had to admit it at that point. Olga Piscopo (the general manager) was contacted and we were told we would get a call to sort this matter out but we never did. Video surveillance was checked by Romina and she said it only looked like staff near our door overnight which further proves that staff was targeting my family.
This was an awful experience and this hotel and staff should be ashamed of themselves. My family was seriously concerned. We had to pick up and escape, find another place to stay, and lose all the things we had planned in that area.
We were assured that police were notified and an investigation was taking place by Romina directly.
Stefano Mordenti from Ares group called me (the one who manages these posts by the way) and threatened me with trying to find out where I'm staying in Italy. After I told him who I observed using the drugs. He berated me and my wife on the phone for making a complaint. So now we are being targeted by Ares group directly for making complaints about the hotel.
Update:
So it is now several weeks since my stay and after countless calls and emails to try to rectify being overchorged, I'm still waiting for something to be done. I was given a receipt with all of my charges and told I would be refunded the difference from what paid initially because I left early because my stay was awful. They are refusing to refund my money even though they agreed to do so and provided me with a receipt stating we would be refunded.
I'm baffled by how they are still allowed to do business. Rome should be ashamed that this place is conducting business.
The person responding to these reviews is, Stefano, he lacked all professionalism and courtesy.
Update:
They refuse to refund the money they agreed to refund me. A credit card dispute was started and I have since had to repost several times on Travel Advisor and Google because the hotel is trying to hide truthful reviews and bully honest people.
