A magic island in the sky ☺What a magical location! The room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished, but the views were exceptional. It was quite a windy afternoon, but we were perfectly placed to watch the sunset from the comfort of our living room. The walk across to the village is absolutely worth the effort (pack light), and enjoy not just this wonderful accommodation but the peace and quiet of a beautiful tiny town, with hardly any tourists! We will truly treasure the memory of this fantastic destination always ☹Well the walk from the car park is long and steep, but we knew that before we went. But it was definitely worth the effort.

If you have a chance to grab this house during your visit, don’t hesitate. The experience was magical. The home is the quintessential Italian Villa with authentic details, wood beams, stone walls, pretty antiques everywhere and spectacular views out every single windows. Civita fills with tourists during the day and you will be out enjoying the neighborhood with them, but at one point I needed a nap and the noise reduction windows kept it quiet outside. At night, after all the visitors leave, the entire neighborhood falls quiet and it made for the best sleep I’ve had my entire time in Italy. An added bonus was a really good bathtub which I did make use of for a bubble bath. There is a surprise wine cellar downstairs to partake in as well. All around perfect experience.

What an incredible experience. Historical charm with modern amenities, high up in a walled City. Just wonderful, with access to the most amazing views from your apartment and private terrace. The wine cellar is a great amenity. The hosts were communicative throughout and made parking and access easy. Such a charming place, next time I’m in Italy I will book a few nights here. Access to some shopping and nice restaurants just steps from your door.

I can’t begin to describe the experience of staying in this particular place in this particular town—beautiful, sensational, historical… still can’t capture the experience of staying at Luigi’s place. Take advantage of the wine cellar. We enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco up on the open terrace, in the hot afternoon sun, with a vista to die for! Returning home from late dinner in Orvieto, my warm breezy midnight walk across the bridge was both exhilarating and haunting with not a soul around. Wandered the historic streets the next day, cappuccino in the square…Loved, loved, loved this place!

Stay was amazing. Would highly recommend especially if wanting to steal away somewhere very private. Space was wonderful. An item to note is only that there is no AC and no heat. So if traveling during the summer it is quite warm in the bedroom. There are 2 fans but still warm. This information isn’t hidden by the host, but wanted to share additional. It’s a very special place!!

Beautiful property and unique stay. It was very special to spend the night in Civita di Bagnoregio, as opposed to just using the destination as a day trip and have the opportunity to have a slow, quiet evening. Luigi was very responsive and the location was easy to find once entering the square. Would absolutely stay again!
