Such a stunning experience overall. Our meal was delicious, our view was unbelievable, and most importantly- our served Aldo was exceptional. He made our lunch seamless and brought multiple complimentary add ons to our table to compliment our meal and overall experience. Highly recommend!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful the food, atmosphere, and service were! We celebrated my daughter’s 20th birthday at Le Papillon tonight. Greg Jr made sure to make our family feel welcome and taken care of.
From the attention to our daughter’s gluten allergy, to allowing the Birthday girl to pick out her dessert, our dinning experience was perfect! We highly recommend Le Papillon!
It Has been one of the best experiences of Costa Rica. We came in for our birthday dinner and Greg Junior made it extra special. The view was unreal. The food was amazing, but the experience would not have been complete without Greg. From the beginning, Greg made the whole experience, absolutely amazing. He was very attentive to all the details. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had right pairing of wine with our food! He also made the birthday experience so special! I think be coming back because of Greg. Pura vida.
My husband and I ate here for lunch today. We were blown away by the service and ambience! Our server, Aldo was very attentive and treated us as if we were staying in the hotel. He even showed us the sloth that was sleeping on the property!
The views are fantastic, of course and the food was up to par. My husband got the mai fish burger and he was very pleased. Reasonable priced for lunch.
When we visit CR again, we will definitely be back to this restaurants or hotel. Thanks for making us feel welcomed Aldo!
We had Joseph as our server. He gave us excellent service. My husband made reservations for my birthday and Joseph made sure we had a great experience. He recommended the catch of the day which was the Mahi. It was delicious. He is very personable and attentive. We are staying at the resort and have seen him several times. We were surprised he remembered our names. I would highly recommend this restaurant and that you ask for Joseph. The ocean/sunset view is amazing.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon sunset dinner, which was recommended by our bartender at Hotel Makanda. We booked at 4:30 PM to give us a solid 40 minutes before the sunset is the sweet spot to enjoy a pre-sunset during the sunset and then after. I ordered the surf and turf, and my husband ordered the lobster risotto, which was the perfect meal by the sea. Our waiter Gianfranco was so welcoming from the very beginning, gave us some great food recommendations, and even offered to take a great picture of us with the sunset view! He was very attentive the entire night and really made the dinner enjoyable.
La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio is a truly stunning property. From the moment you arrive, you’re immersed in nature with breathtaking scenic views of Manuel Antonio National Park and constant visits from beautiful birds. We were lucky to enjoy unforgettable sunrises and sunsets every day. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming—especially John B, who truly made our stay even more special. The food was excellent from breakfast through dinner. An absolute gem and a place I would happily return to.
