We booked a canyoning experience at Church Beck with Jack over the bank holiday weekend, despite personally being quite nervous Jack put everyone at ease! My dad and I had the most amazing day scrambling and rock climbing in the Lake District with our instructor Jack. We absolutely loved the whole experience and were so happy we managed to fit it in before heading home!
Jack was fantastic from start to finish. He was so approachable, friendly and encouraging throughout, making us feel completely safe and supported while still making the day exciting and fun. The scenery was absolutely incredible, and the whole experience was such a great way to explore the Lake District.
There were so many laughs and great memories made, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better experience.

My son and I had a fantastic canyoning experience with Jack. He explained everything clearly and reassured us throughout. I nearly backed out of a couple of the challenges, but with Jack’s encouragement I’m glad I didn’t — the sense of achievement was brilliant.
The fresh, clear water running through the Cumbrian landscape was stunning, and nowhere near as cold as I expected. Travelling together down the beck above Coniston Water is something my son and I will remember with real fondness for a long time.

Talking yourself into something you nearly walked away from is the bit that sticks, and you did the hard part yourself — I only stood there sounding confident. The becks above Coniston Water really are lovely and clear at this time of year, and the wetsuits do a better job than people expect. Great time Canyonning this afternoon. Really well organised, very clear instructions on where to meet, what to bring and how to signal we were safe as we emerged from the water….. having just dropped from height! Do IT!! You’ll love it!!

Weather conditions meant that we were unable to do canyoning as we had originally booked, but Jack took us on a ‘ghyll scramble’ through Stickle ghyll instead.
All kit was provided and with a safety brief before we started and we headed off on a little mini adventure through the stream.
The cold water and mini challenges through the experience were great and Jack kept everyone engaged and comfortable with the challenge throughout, culminating in a climb through the waterfall at the top. Our whole family declared this their favourite experience of the week. Thanks Jack.
