Waited at the bar during happy hour for 20 minutes… no service whatsoever. But you know who were getting served? People lighter than my skin color.

We have been coming here to H&R since they opened up in Middletown NY. Gretchen was our server for the night and she was fantastic! Very polite and checked on us many times. She is an asset to this company and she deserves recognition. Thank you, Gretchen, for everything. Everything was great and you made it even more pleasant.

Gretchen took care of our table and was an absolute pleasure. She is polite, friendly, and caring to name a few. My wife and I do not get out much but when we do, we look forward to coming here and we will be requesting Gretchen again. Thank you!

I come to Hook and Reel almost every Friday; the service and attention are irreplaceable. I love spending time with my family and the staff. The owner is very caring, and he always makes sure everyone is taken care of. I recommend this place not only for the food but also for the tremendous care the staff put into their service.
During the weekends, they also have Happy hour and live music!! totally worth it!!!

My sister and I have been going here as a treat ever since this place opened, but this was our first experience with the server Gerard. He took such good care of us that it made us feel like we were his only table by how attentive and hospitable he was. I don't know if servers read reviews, but I hope he knows he made our day and we genuinely look forward to going back.

I had fried lobster, not great. Husband had a boil dinner and loved it.

Nice atmosphere for my late night birthday dinner. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very clean. The food was fabulous. I had the Reel Catch that had 1 lobster tail, snow crab, shrimp, broccoli, potatoes, and corn in butter garlic sauce. I also had Dungeness crab that was so sweet. My husband had 2 lobster tails, corn and potatoes. I loved my birthday dinner! We will definitely be returning here the next time we're in the area. 💯💖💖💖🎉🎂🎈
