Our stay at CalmAway Cottage was our best AirBnB experience ever. We loved the pool which was super refreshing. We like to cook and found that the kitchen had everything we needed. Simply put, we loved our stay!Michelle was an excellent and responsive host. I highly recommend staying at the cottage.

After our tours with Afan two years ago we knew we were going with him again this trip. The tours were so amazing and his love of Roatan is unmatched. We will be back and will call Afan again. He is our friend and has treated us as such. I recommend him to everyone I know coming to Roatan!
We had a great time on this tour. Chocolate tasting and shopping was fun. Our teen boys loved zip lining and the whole sloth experience not to mention the monkeys were awesome, they claimed all over us. Afan was great and ensured we had an awesome time and even gave us some homemade empanadas. He got us back to the cruise with plenty of time after stopping at the We Love Roatan sign for pictures. We highly recommend them!
This was the best adventure. The sloths were amazing to hold! The other animals, monkeys and exotic birds were so picture perfect and able to interact with us! Well worth the trip and small admission fee.
Our tour with the animals was a highlight of our cruise. It was wonderful to be able to hold the sloths and engage with the animals.
The guides were amazing, knowledgeable, engaging, and very personable.
The tour was recommended by my neighbor who had taken it the previous year and the tour did not disappoint. Definitely and strongly recommended to anyone visiting Roatan..

Michelle super nice and easy to communicate with. Nice place. Clean and well equipped. Quiet and close enough to West End. Note though - NOT between West End and West Bay but the other side of West End, Coxen Hole direction. Walking to West Bay not a reality.

The place is just like the pictures and description. It is place is peaceful and surrounded by nature, close to west end. There is a mini supermarket close by. The host is really nice and helpful.

4 Generations of family fun on a private tour of Roatan
Our entire tour experience with Roatan Honduras Private Tours was exceptional from the start of planning all the way to the actual tour. Our guide Emilio was excellent. He was courteous, knowledgeable (born and raised on Roatan), friendly and thoughtful. We had our family with our 98 year old Mother to our 2 year old great granddaughter. Everyone could find something to enjoy during our air conditioned private tour. We could accommodate a wheelchair and a car seat too. Afan runs a wonderful operation that we would highly recommend to any first time visitors like us. He was very flexible on schedule and itinerary too.
An absolutely amazing cabin! Peaceful, private, and beautifully surrounded by lush vegetation. The space is airy, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. It’s also just a pleasant walk to West End Beach, where you’ll find as much activity and entertainment as you like, along with stunning sunsets! Michelle and her husband are wonderful hosts, friendly, welcoming, and always quick to respond to any needs. I would definitely stay here again!
Incredible guide
We were on a cruise and I completed an inquiry form the night before arriving in Roatan because I wanted a fun way for my family of 4 to see Honduras for the first time. Afan responded to my inquiry within 10 minutes. Unfortunately during our emails I lost cell service as we left a different port, but he was quick to respond to me the morning of and we were able to book a last minute tour with Afan. I can't express how grateful I am that Afan was able to book us. Within one minute of meeting him I knew we made an excellent decision. Afan is very personable and all around an amazing guide and person. He was patient with us and our 2 children (7 and 12) and answered every question imaginable. We had so much fun interacting with macaws and monkeys at the sanctuary and tasting local chocolate and rum, but really the best part of the tour was being able to see Roatan beyond the cruise port and hear all about it from Afan. Thanks again for an incredible day and a very fair price! If we ever end up in Roatan again I know who to call!
This place was more than perfect! Beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed the pool and the hammock the most. It’s close to West End beach (5 min) and West Bay beach (15 min). Also close to Mayan canopy where we saw the sloths, monkeys and zip lines! Michelle was super lovely and helpful making our experience even better. If you want a quiete relaxing stay, this is the one for you. Highly recommend!

Fun with Afan!
We literally just returned home from our Western Caribbean cruise that included Roatan, Honduras and a private tour with "Do Roatan Day Tours". This was the best tour we have taken thus far during our cruising life and our guide, Afan, was phenomenal. From the initial signup questions I had regarding pricing and billing to texting me the day we arrived at the Roatan port, letting me know where to look for him once we exited the port, I felt confident about the company. Once we were greeted we hopped into his vehicle and were off on our adventure which included discussions and points of interest as we drove from location to location, a local market and chocolate store where you could watch them making chocolate, a monkey, sloth and Macaw reserve and the rum company located high atop a hill with an awesome view of the coast below. Afan was very knowledgeable and courteous. This is exactly the kind of tour our family loves, learning about the local culture and not just a canned point to point drive. While I realize this probably sounds like a typical review, let me say, this tour review was from a Royal Caribbean cruise my bride and I took with most of our adult children. She and I will be back in Roatan in 3 weeks on a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise with my siblings and if nothing else, have let Afan know we will be booking another tour with him, even if just to spend time with him and visit. I apologize about the quality of the photos. I never plan to post any but I thought it would be nice to post something.

Fun time in Roatan
We had an excellent time on this tour. It was a great way to spend half a day learning about Roatan. We started out at the rum factory. (I bought the rum cream) It had excellent views of the sea. From there we went to The Roatan Chocolate Factory. It was located in a surfing beach community from there we went up and saw the Monkeys and Sloths. That was the best part of the tour. Along the way, we got a lot of information about what island life is like. Marek was very easy to work with and made the day a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this tour!

Afan es agradable, amable, carismático, y le da información sobre las islas al conducir a cada excursión. Las excursiones fueron increíbles y el snorkeling cambió la vida. Los guías y otros empleados en el lugar de buceo fueron amables y serviciales. Disfruté de la guía principal de buceo tomando en serio la seguridad y llegar a la parte inferior del nivel de natación de todos, pero muy amable! Afan tiene un precio muy razonable en comparación con otras empresas de excursiones. En un país extranjero siempre existe, al menos para mí, el miedo a lo desconocido, pero ni una vez tuve miedo con Afan a nuestro lado! ¡Gracias Afan!
