A fantastic day tour! Our family of four, including parents in their 80’s, enjoyed a full day tour with Andrew from Inverness, seeing Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, Inverness Castle, Glen Ord distillery and sights in between. Andrew turned up in full dress kilt and was a delightful fountain of knowledge on local history. Extra care was taken to assist our parents getting close to locations. The personable charm of the Scots was well represented by Andrew and we highly recommend Cameron and his team at Happy Tours!

We did the Isle of Skye tour with Happy Tours out of Inverness, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Neil, our guide, was fantastic. Super knowledgeable about the land, the geography, and the history of the area, but never in a way that felt like a lecture. It all felt natural and engaging, like you were learning as part of the journey rather than being talked at. He also took great care of us throughout the day—keeping things on track, making sure we hit all the best spots, and giving great recommendations for food and photos along the way. What really stood out, though, was how personal he made the experience. He took the time to get to know us, remembered all of our names (there were seven of us), and even picked up on bits of our stories. It made the whole day feel a lot more connected and intentional. We always felt like we were in good hands, and the combination of stunning scenery, thoughtful guidance, and just a genuinely warm person made it a really special experience. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the Isle of Skye, learn something along the way, and yes, get a great photo with some Hairy Coos!

Brian, our private tour guide exceeded our expectations! Punctual, knowledgeable, articulate, and put us at ease immediately. We toured Culloden, Clava Cairns, Urquhart Castle, Distillery and the Coos! Lunch in the lovely town of Beauly. Brian’s recommendation did not disappoint. Had a few minutes for shopping and made a special stop to view a train crossing the Culloden Viaduct, Scotland's longest masonry viaduct. Brian picked us up and returned us to our villa. Wonderful Tour & Guide We did the Loch Ness & Culloden private tour and had an amazing experience! Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable about the area's history and culture and answered our questions so thoughtfully--we learned a lot from him as well as from the locations we visited. And when one of our family members who hadn't been feeling well in the morning decided to join the tour mid-day, he was flexible in returning to Inverness to pick her up. The tour was a great way to experience the area without having to deal with renting a car and navigating an unfamiliar area, and a chance to have interesting and informative conversations with a local guide. We highly recommend Happy Tours and look forward to booking them again next time we visit!

Fantastic views at ground and high levels Whilst staying in Fort William we decided to visit the Glen Finan viaduct. This is famously know for being used in the Harry Potter films and ring of bright water. Lovely scenery. Be warned of a £6 parking charge !!

Lucky day for the Isle of Skye in November! Our trip hosted by our driver, Nick, was so lovely! He provided us with amazing folklore and the history of what we were seeing. He had a clever sense of humor and was fun to listen to. I especially liked his presentation of language history of Scotland. And we loved his information about livestock after we let him know we work with livestock at home in Oregon. We were so lucky to have a partly-sunny-with-no-rain day. There were lots of stops for this long tour day. Nick’s back stories and experiences made what we were seeing so much more relevant and meaningful. Thank you, Nick!

Highly recommend this tour company! From the initial contact to the company through to, and including, our full day tour to Glencoe and surrounding highlands, Happy Tours Scotland's service was excellent. It was a private family tour and the guide and company accommodated our requests. Niall was so informative and had much information and stories to share. The day trip centered around a celebration of life for our parents, and Niall kindly played two tunes on the bagpipes which made the made the day so memorable. We enthusiastically recommend Happy Tours! Our first tour was a private experience to the Isle of Skye for four people in a Range Rover with our spectacular guide, Andrew. Andrew was timely, very professional and his knowledge of the area was stellar, as he grew up in the Highlands. We had so much fun talking to him and seeing the sites. He was very accommodating and kind to a remarkable degree! The booking experience with Cameron was equally impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our private Loch Ness & Culloden Battlefield Tour. Brian our guide possessed a wealth knowledge about the region and its history and even took us off grid to explore the Scottish country side. Our only advice is to work on the pacing a bit more as we were unsure how much time we had at each point along to tour. We understand this can be challenging when comparing a small private tour relative to a large group tour that tends to take more time at each stop.

We feel the pace of the private tour can be largely dictated by the guest as some have a greater interest in one particular sight than another. However we do take your suggestion seriously and will ensure our guides give you as full a breakdown of the days events as they start and continue along the tour. Sometimes it's inevitable at this time of year to make a few on the spot alterations with the effects of storm damage and weather conditions laying a huge part on the day.
