A friend and I enjoyed a 6 day tour. It was amazing. There was a great mix of off-road and challenging trails and winding on road routes. We enjoyed some cultural experiences and visiting villages. The route was really well planned and food and accommodation were excellent. Our tour guide Luke was a legend and kept everything running smoothly. Would highly recommend!

An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! The entire team at Motorcycle Tour Expert was fantastic, providing excellent service, quick responses, and support whenever we needed it. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely made us feel well taken care of throughout the journey. A special thank you to our tour guide, Mr. Nathan, who was excellent, knowledgeable, and informative. He made the entire experience even more enjoyable and ensured we got the most out of our time exploring Vietnam. Everything was well organised, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking to explore Vietnam on two wheels and create unforgettable memories, I would highly recommend Motorcycle Tour Expert. Looking forward to coming back for another ride!
Was an absolutely awesome experience
The team with Anthony were very accommodating for us and made it a wicked trip suited to us
Absolutely unreal trip. Unbelievable scenery and the staff from the tour were awesome. Every stop on the trip was greeted with amazing service and local company. Thanks to James and the team for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend
Incredible journey through northern Vietnam. Anthony and his team of guides/mechanics were so good. Would highly recommend, we rode some epic single track, guides were great riders and showed us some places that most would never even see up in the mountains. Parties at night were awesome, accommodation top tier and the cultural experience on the last day was bloody good. Definitely gonna be back to do another tour. Cheers team, highly recommend to any kiwi rider who wants to see some crazy scenery 🤙
Highly recommend it, awesome way to see the country, great guides, great food and accommodation
I had an incredible experience using this company. Our guide Tony was terrific. We went from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City over 15 days. We really saw Vietnam and had an experience few tourists get to have. We almost always ate in places where we were the only non-Vietnamese customers, and the food was great. We also met a number of local people who were very excited to see foreigners, riding motorcycles.
The company was very professional, and everything was arranged without problems. They have good motorcycles and a lot of off-road clothing and equipment that can be used by renters.
Although this trip was not a hard-core off-road experience like the North Vietnamese Loop, anyone riding a motorcycle in Vietnam needs to be very experienced both in on and off-road. The road conditions can change dramatically over the course of a kilometer. There are options for intense offloading anywhere in Vietnam, but even normal roads can be very difficult. Traffic can be very intimidating in urban areas, although it’s amazing how much better you can get over a few weeks. The guide was also very experienced in traffic procedures and law-enforcement, which fortunately we did not encounter.
I can recommend this company highly if you are up for the challenge.

I cannot express to an adequate level how much gratitude I have for the whole VMTE team for easily the best experience of my life. Right from my very first email enquiry to the beers on return to their home base they made us feel like part of the family. I was only able to do a relatively short 3 day tour Hanoi to Hanoi due to timings, and I hoped that the scenery would be good. I could not have possibly been prepared for what we were about to experience. The scenery, Homestays, people and experiences cannot be put into words. Our guide Lựu is relatively new to the team but you wouldn’t know it. His professionalism and thirst for knowledge and to meet and exceed our enjoyment is unmatched in my life to date. We owe Lựu and the VMTE team a huge debt. We are already planning our return and wish them all the best until that day. Safe riding and good health to you all. Ca’m on
Absolutely fantastic trip. These guys organised a 7 day tour of North Vietnam for 7 of us, with some fairly particular requirements. The planning, organisation, comaraderie, adaption to changing and challenging circumstances was all nothing short of excellent and highly professional.
The guides, support crew, media man, bikes, accomodation, food and drink, travel routing, scenery..., all superb.
They made it a trip of a lifetime for us.
I have no hesitation in recommending these guys if you want to tour this part of the world on a motorbike
A fantastic way to experience a fantastic country.
The team looked after us so well and took us around a beautiful part of the world. When things went wrong, doctors and hospitals were arranged and managed with a high degree of professionalism.
I would have no problem in recommending these guys to anyone who wants to experience Vietnam on two wheels
