We were visiting Cornwall on holiday when our dog Jasper needed to see a vet due to an infection in his paw. We contacted Beacon Care at 10pm and they were able to register us with them and provide us with an appointment at 9 o'clock the following morning. All staff were incredibly kind and discussed our dogs treatment options with us and we left with antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication just 25 minutes later. The care and kindness of the staff meant we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday and Jasper is well on the road to recovery. Thank you all so much

Hi Jackie, What a lovely photo of Ebony. We are delighted to hear that you had such a good experience with Donna and Sarah - we'll make sure to pass on your kind words.
My cat Reggie was poorly, he had an infection and had to be treated with antibiotic.
The lady vet treated him very kindly, gently and gave him some cat treats so he could have his observations taken.
Reggie is now bounding about the garden
My dog Ruby had to have some dental treatment, I was informed about what was found on the x-rays, the vet asked permission to continue, all treatment given so Ruby could have a better quality of life, without being in pain.
The after care was exceptional, they were all so gentle. Ruby now has a smile on her face

Hi Rosalyn, thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We’re really pleased Reggie is feeling better and back to his usual self! We’ll be sure to share your kind words with the team.
I needed a second opinion about my dog's eruption of a skin problem and found very experienced and knowledgeable vet there. She diagnosed a skin infection (which the other vet's locum didn't) and as well as antibiotics gave my dog a pill against ticks, mites and fleas.
Generally this group have an excellent reputation and I believe it to be well deserved.

Hello Lucy, thank you very much for your kind words. We are pleased to hear that our vet was able to help your dog, who we hope is feeling better!
We were in Newquay on holiday and our dog had hurt her leg they managed to fit us in and gave us some medicine to ease her pain. They advised us to see her vet when we get home to get the problem sorted as she will probably need an operation. There was no hard sell and they were very helpful. We would definitely recommend.

Hello Kevin, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us review. We are pleased to hear that you were happy with the service and that we were able to provide pain relief and a plan of action. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Cornwall and that your dog is feeling better soon!
Our 14 month old puppy, Merryn, loves chewing sticks and old stalks in the garden. Although we discourage her from doing it, sometimes we miss one and she happily chomps away.
On Monday evening, she started behaving as if she had something stuck in her mouth. Making an odd coughing or wretching noise every now and again. I looked in her mouth and ran my fingers around her gums and under her tongue but couldn’t find anything. Then she started pawing at her face with both paws at the same time. We knew that there must be something even though we couldn’t find it, so we knew we had to take her to the vets, but it was past our vets closing time.
Fortunately our vet has a message on their website that says that after normal hours we should contact Beacon vets at Summercourt, in an emergency.
When we got to Beacon we were surprised at how big and bright it was. Even Merryn was eager to get in the door!
We gave our details to the friendly receptionist and waited a few minutes to see the vet, who was also very friendly and calm. She asked us questions about what had happened and she looked in Merryn’s mouth and felt around her gums. It wasn’t immediately obvious where the obstruction was but as she examined Merryn’s mouth, she saw that she had a thin stick wedged in the roof of her mouth. She said that it wasn’t too tightly wedged (otherwise she wouldn’t attempt to do it) and that she thought she would be able to change the angle of it slightly and remove it,, which she did very quickly with a pair of sterile forceps.
It was all quickly sorted and we were soon on our way again!
We had contact with three different people, who were all very calm and kind. There was no judgement, implied or otherwise, of us as owners, just problem diagnosed and solved.
Although the building is huge and looks clinical and sterile, the staff were so warm and welcoming that we felt at home immediately.
My husband and I were both very impressed with Beacon.

Back with a reoccurring problem with Roxy . As always fantastic service and care from reception to Sarah who has been treating Roxy. We are making great improvements with the treatment . Roxy is fear reactive so a trip to the vets is always a challenge for her but this visit she settled quite well . Best decision we made was to transfer to your practice your practice.

Hi Valerie, We know visits to the vet can be stressful for some pets, so we're pleased to hear that Sarah has been able to make Roxy's visits a little bit easier. We'll make sure to pass on your kind words and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Mistoffoles spent 4 days in hospital, he was extremely poorly and I did initially wonder if he’d ever come home. The care he received was excellent and he was able to come home and he is now just about back to old self apart from lots of missing fur where he needed to be shaved for various tests!!
THANK YOU

Fantastic Vets all the staff we have come across since we moved over have all been brilliant. The beaconeer membership is such amazing value for money especially as my dog has a medical condition that he needs to be seen regularly. Also any medical treatment I have had to pay for I have been so happy with i no longer dread the bill and I was actually shocked by the price difference compared to what i had been paying at our previous vets.
I highly recommend!!

Hi Dilys, thank you very much for your kind words and for sharing such a cute photo of Billy! We'll make sure to pass your comments on to Chris and the rest of the team
We were seen by Chris the Vet on duty the day we visited and were seen at short notice due to an ear infection for pur dog. Chris was very professional and after a short consultation we were prescribed medication and have booked a further visit in one week.
We were not registered with this surgery as we are normally based in the Midlands where our dog is registered. Our dog developed an ear infection during our stay in Cornwall hence the visit to the Par surgery.
I was extremely pleased with all involved and would highly recommend this vetinary practice.
