I found her and the other staff very welcoming and open to any questions or concerns I had both in person and via email. Dr Novikova is the most knowledgeable compassionate, and professional gynaecologist I have ever seen, whether it be in the US, UK, Switzerland, JHB or Cape Town. Most gynaecologists (male or female), know very little about treating women who have survived sexual violence. Even worse, they make it impossible to raise uncomfortable issues of any origin, by being patronizing and in my experience, even misogynistic. I highly recommend Dr Novikova to women of any age.

It was my first time being at a gynecologist and I was very scared. I told the doctor I'm terrified of having a pap smear and she said it's fine. Then proceeded to be forceful and didn't care when I cried out in pain. I'm still bleeding after my examination. I feel so violated. She didn't even treat me like a human. I was just a hole for her to put her instrument to see test results. She didn't care at all. Edit: Dr. Novikova tried to bribe me to remove this review.
