3 sandwiches, a salad, and a side for $150. For that much, you would expect a bountiful, flavorful meal, right? Apparently not, at the Americana Kitchen & Bar.
My family ordered the beet salad, the burger, two chicken sandwiches, and a side of ratatouille. We requested the fries be changed to ratatouille for the chicken sandwiches, but were denied, so instead opted for the mashed potatoes. The burger, which was ordered as is, was tiny and came with exactly 7 french fries; the tablespoon of ketchup it was served with needed to be replenished halfway through our meal. The beet salad was the best part of the meal, but only because every other item was bland. As for the service, the waitstaff reached the bare minimum and never checked on us. At least the restaurant had upscale ambience.
Our entire meal seemed as though it was designed to provide less and charge more. None of the food tasted of anything except for disappointment and wasted money. What a loss of a Saturday evening.

Dear Samara,I am sorry we are not what you hoped for. We do focus on carefully prepared quality ingredients which is essentially the opposite of big portions and cheaper meals. I am sorry if you felt we never checked on you - we do try very hard to be accommodating even for something as simple as bringing you extra ketchup or even extra of our hand cut steak fries. Again sorry we wish you had a good time. Kind regards Constantine Ck@ahgnj.com
