Chris P. was absolutely incredible as our DJ! From the very beginning, he was so attentive to my vision and really understood how I wanted the day to flow and transition. A few nights before the wedding, we had a phone call that completely put me at ease. I knew I could trust him, and he delivered beyond what I could have hoped for.
He had such a wide selection of music and was able to read the crowd perfectly on the dance floor. He knew exactly what to play to keep everyone dancing, and the energy never seemed to drop!
He was also so thoughtful about all the little details, including looping songs so the timing of our entrances was perfect. He even shortened our first dance song because I didn’t want to be dancing in front of everyone for too long 😂 .

We had an amazing experience with Airwaves for our wedding and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
From the very beginning, the entire team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Communication was always prompt, and they were incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout the planning process. We especially appreciated their reassurance and support in the days leading up to our wedding when an unexpected situation arose.
Our DJ, Adam, was fantastic. He arrived early, set everything up discreetly, and adapted seamlessly when our original setup location near the sweetheart table turned out to be too tight. He quickly relocated closer to the bar without missing a beat, and everything worked perfectly.
Throughout the evening, Adam did a great job reading the room and keeping the energy up. We may have overestimated our guests' stamina, so the dance floor started winding down earlier than we expected, but he remained enthusiastic and professional the entire night.
If you're looking for a DJ team that is professional, reliable, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable to work with, we highly recommend Airwaves!
If I could give more than 5 stars for Dillon’s services, I absolutely would! He DJ’d our wedding this past weekend at a rural Alberta family farm. He arrived early to setup without interrupting any special moments, navigated his own way, and was thoughtful enough to take photos with his personal device (which are currently the only photos and videos we have to reflect on!) From beginning to end, Dillon was the easiest vendor to work with. He was patient while we prioritized other planning, and worked virtually and seamlessly around us in the wee days prior to our event (even if it meant adding 1 or 5 extra hours to his work day). He never missed a queue and followed all of our directions and requests. We have a silly mix of music tastes- anywhere from country 2-step to full-on rave; Dillon catered to every step! This was the first wedding we’ve ever seen where the dance floor was FULL from beginning to end. He followed up with a heartfelt congratulations and already feels like a good friend of ours! We will absolutely work with him again in the future and recommend to anyone looking for music, professional lighting, and high quality speakers at their event.

Miguel was such an amazing DJ!! He truly made our day go smoothly; he made sure the schedule moved along as planned, used transition music, and dealt with any technical difficulties. He was also incredible during the dance portion of the night, he played all the songs we requested and made sure the vibes were high and consistent.
He went above and beyond in planning with video consultations before the event, bringing his lights, recommending the perfect music based on our tastes, and even driving us to our after party once the wedding was over!

Airwaves Music was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Their online portal made it easy to communicate our vision and music preferences, and they matched us with a DJ who truly understood our style and was just as excited about our music as we were. We were paired with Owen, who did an incredible job balancing our requests with his own expertise to keep the dance floor full all night. We also had some custom music selections, and Owen incorporated them seamlessly into our reception. He worked closely with our officiant to cue special songs at exactly the right moments, ensuring everything unfolded exactly as we had envisioned. We highly recommend Airwaves Music for weddings or any event where great music and a talented DJ can make all the difference.
My husband and I booked Airwaves for our wedding in Penticton in May and unfortunately did not love our experience overall.
Our initial consultation was with the owner, who was lovely, highly professional, and easy to chat with. However, their booking model means you do not know which DJ you will actually get until about a month before your wedding. In hindsight, we really wish we hadn't rolled the dice on this.
When we were finally assigned our DJ a month out, they were over 30 minutes late to our first scheduled call. Once we connected, they were nice, but after doing some research, we realized their personal style was primarily EDM. Because we were hosting a cocktail style wedding, keeping the energy up with a specific vibe was incredibly important to us, and this style didn't match our guests' tastes. We raised our concerns to our planner, which resulted in a somewhat awkward call set up by the owner of airwaves with only the DJ, myself and my fiancé on the call. The DJ was trying to appease our concerns, but by that point, we were a week away from the wedding- so we just had to hope for the best.
On the day of, the ceremony audio went off without a hitch, but the reception had few disappointing issues. The DJ ended up playing the wrong version of our first dance song, resulting in us standing on the dance floor for a good 2 minutes in front of our guests waiting for the right one to be played.
Additionally, they played songs from our "do not play" list, took guest requests against our instructions, and failed to play all of our "must-play" songs.
I am choosing not to name the specific DJ because I don't want to personally impact their business, but as a recent bride, I think it’s important to share this experience.
Our wedding night was still completely magical, but there was room for improvement from this vendor. If music is a top priority for your big day, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a company where you can vet and secure your exact DJ from day one.

First of all it was genuinely a pleasure working with you and Branden throughout the process, which makes this difficult and painful to read. Creating magical weddings and giving every couple an experience they genuinely love is exactly why we are here.
The DJ selected for your wedding was a highly experienced member of our team who was familiar with the venue, the style of event, and the music you were looking for. I personally had a very high level of confidence in the choice and believed he was the right fit for your wedding.
However, arriving more than 30 minutes late to your initial meeting was completely unacceptable and immediately failed to reflect the standard you should expect from us. I want to acknowledge I had to personally call him as you waited on standby and the "reason for being late" was not an acceptable response.
When your planner contacted me about potential concerns surrounding the DJ about a month before, I took them very seriously.
I was in direct communication with your planner, the DJ, and Branden, and thought arranging a three-way call to ensure the concerns were addressed and that the music, planning, and expectations were fully aligned before the wedding was an effective strategy to get everyone aligned.
Following those conversations, the feedback I received from everyone involved was that everything was ironed out and positive and I genuinely believed the concerns had been resolved and that everyone felt calm and confident moving forward.
I did not realize was that you personally still felt uncomfortable or uncertain. Looking back, my biggest regret is that most of my direct communication throughout the process was with Branden and the other parties involved, rather than building the same direct relationship with you.
Had I understood that you still had concerns, I would have done everything in my power to address them directly, alleviate the uncertainty, and narrow in on exactly what was making you feel uneasy. I truly wish I had recognized that there was still friction and had the opportunity to connect with you personally before the wedding.
I’m very happy to hear that the ceremony audio went off without a hitch. However, despite what I believed had been strong planning and communication leading into the wedding, the reception was not executed according to the music planning you provided.
The issues you described were not acceptable, and my confidence in the DJ’s experience does not change that. The standard I communicated for you to expect was not met through his actions and execution.
After receiving your review, I met with our team to discuss the experience and where both the process and execution broke down.
We will not be moving forward with this DJ for ANY future Airwaves events.
I do want to clarify for future couples that we absolutely welcome a vibe-check call with a prospective DJ before booking, and more than half of our clients choose to do so.
These calls exist specifically to help build and bridge confidence and allow me to select the DJ in process but in this specific case the call wasn't taken.
The breakdown on this was from our DJ not following process, planning forms that we all put together to follow.
Airwaves supports more than 200 events each year, but every couple’s experience matters individually.
I take your feedback and what was clearly a breakdown in both our process and execution seriously.
I appreciate you sharing it because it gives us the opportunity to improve how we communicate, escalate concerns, and ensure both partners feel equally heard and supported.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting one of airwaves DJ's at my sisters wedding - Chris Andrechuk. After listening to Chris's work at my sisters wedding and learning about his attention to detail, my husband and I intentionally booked with Chris for our wedding just a few days ago. We are so thankful Chris was available to be our DJ. He was attentive, caring, and willing to try any unique request we threw at him. Chris understood the importance of setting the mood throughout all stages of the evening and did an amazing job. He added sound bits to our rock-paper-scissors tournament (for releasing tables for dinner) which our guests loved. He gave us solid advice for the timing of our grand entrance which worked out perfectly on the day - we are forever thankful for his expertise.
