1803 NYC was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and stylish, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Everything was well presented, and the staff made the visit feel special. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal with friends or family. Highly recommend visiting 1803 NYC for a memorable dining experience!
My boss and I were hosting international vendors from the UK, and since I'm from New Orleans, I was excited to take them to 1803 (and it was my first time there as well). Jackson took really great care of us. The cocktails were delicious (the bartender made a spot-on Sazerac cocktail), the food was fantastic (exceptional apps and entrees), the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and everything felt seamless and just elevated enough for Tribeca. I'm excited to bring more friends and colleagues to 1803 in the future!
Really great gumbo, by the way. I'd love to see Crawfish Etoufee make its way on the menu. ;)
It's not New Orleans, but it's pretty damn close. This restaurant definitely matches the vibe of a 19th century Louisiana restaurant and if I wasn't here for just brunch, I would've taken in the sights a bit more.
Had lunch here on a basic Monday afternoon, meaning not much of a crowd but also meaning proper service. The waiter was courteous and got my food in a timely matter. I had my usual staple, Shrimp Po'Boy but instead of fries, I opted for Dirty Rice which was a solid choice. Compared to all the Po'Boys I've had, this one is a tad smaller than others but I was just fine with it. I was in no mood to stretch out my jaw further than it should so the medium sized Po'Boy was a welcome sight. Very much still had all the taste of one that can be bigger than intended. The Dirty Rice was fantastic, it's been a minute, several of them since I've had authentic Dirty Rice and not that mediocre Popeyes version of it which has pretty much been discontinued a few years ago. After that meal, had Beignets with chocolate mousse dip for Dessert making for a fine and a bit of a steep lunch, then again a good lunch isn't cheap these days.
Another wonderful Cajun/Creole restaurant checked from the list.
Food was pretty basic. Spinach dip was puréed which was a huge disappointing surprise. The ribs were pretty good.
1803 gives a respectable and delicious nod to NOLA/Louisiana/soul food - it's not exactly your grandmere's jambalaya or your titi's mac and cheese, but equally delicious.
This place was solid, but I wouldn't go back. I got oysters (which were my favorite part), the duck with dirty rice, and the La Niña mocktail.
The atmosphere is cute. It's nicely decorated and I enjoyed the vibe.
The service was fine. I sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive but not very. He was nice but not overly welcoming or friendly.
The food was good yet not totally memorable, in my eyes. I enjoyed it but I was hoping to be a bit more wowed. The mocktail was mediocre. It just tasted like fancier fruit juice - lacked any creativity or interest.
