Es war ein tolles Erlebnis auf dem Gletscher zu Wandern. Edgar hat uns super informiert und uns unterstützt falls wer Hilfe brauchte. Das Tempo hat er auch immer dem langsamsten angepasst, das jeder gut mithalten konnte. Zusätzlich hat er viele interessante Dinge über den Gletscher erzählt.
Wer auf dem Gletscher Mal spazieren gehen möchte, ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben.

My family joined the 8-day tour with Gylfi, our guide, and the experience is amazing! He is very knowledgeable about Iceland, and he is very patient and friendly person. He provided very clear information along the way, so we are very clear what we should expect from time to time. He can create very enjoyable and fun vibe for the group even uncontrollable weather conditions happen (as you can expect from Iceland!). We visited many photo spots, falls, horse riding, glacier walk, blue ice cave, lagoon, a sudden snowball fight, many good experiences in this tour.

When the tour comes to an end, people were a bit sad as Gylfi made this so memorable and enjoyable for all of us. Highly recommended for people who want to explore Iceland!

Last but not least, we received timely support from the customer service assistance, kudos to the team!

We enjoyed our trip very much, all the staff were lovely and friendly, the service was good and most of the hotels were clean. Making self-guided travel easy. It was a good experience that gave both knowledge and happiness.

We really enjoyed the glacier hike with our guide Edgar. It is such a unique and amazing experience to hike literally on top of a glacier and to see close up the things you usually only read about in books or news articles. Walking on volcanic ash and ice with crampons and using the ice axe was fun. I felt perfectly safe but like I was on an adventure at the same time! Edgar explained all the interesting features of the glacier and made the experience a truly positive one. Would highly recommend a tour with Troll Expeditions!

Thrilling experience. 5 Star service from our guide and driver Alex, who was very informative and entertaining. He helped us take great photos and was kind enough to help me when I struggled to walk inside the cave as I wasn't very fit. We were very lucky to see the marvellous cave, which was only discovered in November 2024. It was great weather too - the snowstorm started later in the afternoon.

We did our tour on March 29 and it was perfect! Cold enough so nothing was melting and so that we were graced with a snow storm after exiting the cave making the landscape a totally different view from going into the ice cave. Stephan was THE BEST guide! A native Icelander, he shared lots of great information about the glaciers, the caves, and Iceland in general. He was a great (and safe driver), very personable, and funny! 10/10 would recommend!

Greatful for the fantastic memories of the 6-day tour. Our tour guide, Einar Thor, put great effort and provided us a safe and funny experience. I also appreciated their arrangement of itinerary and accommodation. Well organized itinerary, and clean and comfortable accommodation, especially the impressing Hotel, Hrifunes Hotel. Its view is amazing, we spent a night to see the aurora in this hotel. :)

First, our host, Hinrik, was amazing. He had lots of knowledge, humor, and a great playlist. Really loved spending three days learning from him. Second, we also had the most knowledgeable and friendly guides for the Ice Cave tour, Oni, and the Glacier Hike, Adam. Really couldn't have asked for a better group of guides to show us around.

I deducted one star because the accommodations, which are all owned by the tour company, were very cheap given the price we paid. Everything was clean and we felt safe, but the rooms were small with the bed pushed against the wall, and we were only given one towel. At one of the "hotels" there weren't any hairdryers available. Breakfast was available, but minimal. I ended up buying food at the grocery store during our stops. Also the van ran well, but it was old and showed it's age compared to the Artic Adventures busses we came across -- at least from the outside.

Final thoughts, I strongly recommend doing a volcano tour as your first activity since so much of the island is driven by the rhythm of the volcanoes. And, book a day at the end of your vacation to relax at the hot springs.

Overall, I would book with Troll.is again but pack differently knowing what I know now.

We signed up for the 3 day South Coast Golden Circle Tour. Our tour guide was Hedrian (Heddy), a lovely lady who is very professional and organized. The tour is packed with different stops and she made sure everyone has enough time to make bathroom and food stops. The scenery is breathtaking. The hotels offered by the tour is nice and clean, with common facilities like microwave to be used. I will highly recommend going on the 3 day tour with them.

Wir buchten die Katla Ice Cave Tour, welche uns in eine Eishöhle auf dem Katla Vulkan führte. Beda war ein toller und angenehmer Guide, der uns sehr viel zur Geologie und Geografie hier erzählt hat. Wir würden die Tour wieder buchen.
