TLK is not only a quality builder but also a quality employer. In my time with them I learned more things than I can count about the building process, understanding plan reading, and the highest standard of work quality. Ted’s experience in building and ability to teach on the go makes you feel confident in the product. He is always willing to answer your questions and not only tell you the answer but also show the reason why it’s built that way. I learned a lot of skills from Ted that I continue to use to this day. Rob’s marketing expertise and ability to connect with people is amazing to see. He connects personally with each and every customer and ensures every experience is fantastic and that their vision can become their reality with TLK. April’s attention to detail and eye for design is second to none. When you want the perfect design options for your house, she can find exactly what you want. The rest of the team, I can’t say enough about. I worked closely with each and every one of them and there was never a dull moment with anyone. The expertise, attention to detail, and hard work ethic that TLK expects, shows in everyone they employ. If you’re in the market for a remodel, additional space for your home, or a whole new accessory dwelling unit, then TLK is your team.

We really liked that the plans our architect drew up were stamped as "final say" - whatever she had in the plans is what was carried out. We started with a full remodel downstairs. Then we morphed into doing the entire house, otherwise you could easily see the old and the new. TLK was a fantastic fit for us. I appreciate being able to work with change orders as things were developing. Mostly we stuck to the plan for downstairs. The upstairs we were winging it. It is quite the experience and we appreciated all their hard work and dedication to making our "new" house look spectacular. TLK was easy to work with and made sure that we were taken care of in every department - construction, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and much more. We are happy to recommend TLK to all our friends and relatives.

TLK is the best construction company in the San Diego area. They did an extensive and very complex project for us so we are very familiar with this company's work. The guys at TLK were able to handle all steps of it with professionalism, from dealing with the city for permit changes to the actual construction to the aesthetic stuff like interior design and landscaping. They hire responsible subcontractors, and I felt they represented our interests very well at all phases . Even with neighbors. In fact they saved us money at several points by suggesting different ways of doing things. Ted knows everything about construction! I was very impressed by his knowledge of all the parts of the project. Most of all, I trusted his opinion and that he was always looking out for us. They are not the cheapest prices for a reason. They don't do that type of barely-decent work. Several people have commented about how refined and thorough their work is from rough construction to finishes. Great customer service; they took all of our concerns very seriously and found ways to change things we didn't like. Great company. They make great houses.
